Otaku meme
9 Jun 2006 03:04 pmMuahaha. Actually this was someone's survey for a subculture they had to do? >__>
Wanted to waste time.
Had Japanese speaking test today. The teacher sniggered. LOL.
(Okay, admittedly, the line was funny - Partner: "Did you take photos?" Me: "Yes, I took lots." P: "Can I see them?" M: "No, you may not see them...")
Anyway!
( Cut for length )
I've never been one of those people who stuck their nose in the air and said, "Hmmph, that is sooooooo clicheeeeed."
That's why I like stuff like Gundam Seed and Black Cat and Vampire Knight (and even Hunter x Hunter can go in this category), which took tried and tired ideas and made it into something very good. Ultimately, everything's been done one way or another. I think it's just as much an achievement to make something old look good new as it is to create something utterly new.
And besides, ultimately, concepts of old and new are all relative to the individual.
