Saiunkoku no Monogatari
9 Jun 2006 08:49 pmI think that's what it's called. Gosh it's a mouthful.
Highly recommended for anyone who enjoyed the setting of Fushigi Yuugi or Hanakanaru Toki no Naka de.
I thought the girl would be like Miaka, but turns out she's not. I keep suspecting that the original manga is written by a non-Japanese person, mainly because the heroine feels so different from usual.
She still has the typical heroine innocence, but she's also got the sort of perceptive wile that's more expected of girls in a traditional Chinese setting.
It helps that the two main guys are 1) not rivals and 2) voiced by Tamahome and Chichiri/Kyou/Yzak/Pierrot. The girl's voiced by Fllay/Stellar. She sounds like neither...
Tamahome's guy actually has a pretty nice voice ^^;;;;
Now I see what was meant by Heero sounding like a constipated Tamahome. It must be the same logic as saying Shinn sounds like a constipated Kamui, right? *Grin*
(I should stop procrastinating)
