=____________________=||||||||||||||||

I'm about 15 minutes into Initial D movie (the one with Jay Chow).

OMG This will teach me that watching Japanese drama is bad for my health >___>;;;;;;;

One of the guys in the team they first race is soooooooooooo Kumai from Gokusen. And one of the guys on Jay's group is sooooooo Akira from Hana Yori Dango. And I swear I recognise the other guy too...he looks like Morita Go from V6...

Suzuki Anne is still really really irritating, but not yet as bad as her role in Ganbatte Ikimashoi.

Geh....it's kind of...infuriating (for the Japanese, I'll bet) that a movie based on one of their more popular manga has cast Chinese actors in most of the major roles while the Japanese actors stand around like trees. Bah.

Jay Chow's canto is sooo cute XD

Originally from here.

Anyone still remember this? I used to absolutely LOVE that show!

The French cartoon (later made into an English language version), 'The Twins of Destiny', or 'Les jumeaux du bout du monde' (original French title), is one of Jean Chalopin's greatest shows. The creator himself said so in an interview. However, this great show remains unknown to many!

The cartoon series comprised of 52 episodes, telling the story of Jules and Julie, 'two children, born on the same day, in the same place, but to different fathers and mothers - the Twins of Destiny, the Twins of the Moon'. The two children were born in China. Jules is Chinese, while Julie is the daughter of an English couple. The time period of the show is around the 18th century, when the Chinese Empire was supreme and Europe was trading with the mighty Empire.

The twins are part of an ancient Chinese prophecy saying that 'the twins of destiny, or the twins of the Moon goddess (as they were also referred to as), will free China from the evil tyranny of the Empress Dowager. Being so determined to keep her throne, the Empress ordered the children to be killed but they were saved by a Chinese scholar, Show Cow, given to a french trader. The twins grew up in France.

Meanwhile, their mothers had died at birth, and their fathers were imprisoned by the Empress, being magically turned into statues, overlooking the altar of the Temple of Heavenly Harmony. They will only be free when the twins fulfill the prophecy.

The prophecy was for the children to restore the tablets of Loud Say (the pprophetwho foretold their destiny) onto the altar of the Temple of Heavenly Harmony, freeing their fathers and saving China from the evil ttyranny

The twins live a rich lifestyle in France with the trader who saved them, and his friend, Martin. When the twins turned 12 years old, the Empress was spiritually advised that the twins were alive and ordered that they were to be killed and she sent her army chief, Pudong, and her soldiers to kill them. Meanwhile, the twins begin to have strange nightmares about statues and China. They are also followed by a strange Chinese man. This was Show Cow, who was meeting with them to tell them of their destiny and to advise them on the strange power they had - whenever they touched hands, they had a magical power (in the form of a blue light) allowing them to do anything - control the elements, move objects, mind control, destroy things, etc.

The twins then take a long jjourneywith Martin and Show Cow, from France through Spain, Italy, Greece, turkey, the Middle East, India, all the way to China by land. Throughout their journey, they meet many friends but they are always chased by the Empress' henchmen who want to kill them. They are sseparatedfrom Martin and Show Cow and are alone most of the journey and somehow seem to meet up with Martin and Show Cow along the way.

When they finally reach China (all of them), the twins manage to restore the tablets, and free their fathers. An empress that would kill children, infuriates the people of China and this causes a rebellion. In the end the pprophecyis fulfilled and the twins lose their power, being normal children. However, at the thought of being separated, in the final episode's ending, they run away together, maybe returning again some day.

That's maybe a very quick summary, but this series is so interesting, suspenseful and has such a unique and thrilling story. I absolutely love it. I'm glad I managed to get the last two episodes on tape.

The ABC about re-screening the show, and they 'have the rights to screen it one more time'. Perphaps it might be screened again, if you are interested in seeing it again, or seeing it for the first time.

Alidaran is up for adoption.

I don't think she'll find a good owner. Sorry. Blame the lab ray for turning the male Bori into a female Quiggle......*sigh*

But while I'm saying that...what do you know, she's been adopted within a minute O__o;

By an account juuuuuuust on 4 months. *sigh*

I'm going to concentrate on zapping Afflen for a while.

And I'll go buy that Zafara potion...eventually (should get it before it becomes retired or something stupid like that T-T)

Oooh~ I also (finally) managed to get the Island Mystic avatar yesterday *proud*
