mayoraaseiHad Japanese culture lecture today on "Japanese music: Traditional and Pop"
Most of the first 40 minutes were spent on zithers and drums and lutes and flutes and stuff...
And the room exploded into applause when the pop music slide finally came up...with people like Ayumi, M-Flo and some other chick I didn't recognise...and Kinki Kids!!! I was like "OMG! My lecturer has a picture of Kinki Kids!"
LOL.
And then we went through a selection of pop music PV's...only saw about 10 seconds of each T__T
Went through Crystal Kay and M-Flo; BoA's Valenti; Morning Musume (which was totally UGH)...and SMAP!!! As soon as he closed the Morning Musume and pointed to the SMAP PV, there was a chorus of cheers from the back of the room XDD It was Sekai no Hitotsu no Hana....OMG I absolutely love that song *squee~~~~* At least BoA can dance in Valenti (she probably dances better than Britney Spears, which was the comparison the lecturer drew).
Finally we ended with Aya...
Next week: Pop and Metro Culture XDD Otaku-ism! LOL!!
