LOL. I find the wording hilarious.

But the news on the whole is becoming more unbearable to read by the day. The violent crimes news count alone seems to be ever-increasing.

if every violent crime in the world was reported, we'd never finish reading/watching it all before the next news report; so the decision to report a certain increased ratio of bad news to good news is most likely a human decision which is also most likely to be affected by how the government or media or both want the "average aussie battler" to think/react

..although I guess I don't read or watch news so I rather don't have much of a right to comment here. sorry about the random babble ^_^ *escapes*
