I attempted to make Bolognaise sauce today.

It looked really nice. It smelt reaaaaaaalllllllly nice.

And it was really really really really really sour when I tasted it T____T

I have now fully understood what Azuma Kazuma meant by "Just because it looks nice doesn't mean it is. You should always give it to yourself to eat first."

(I have attempted to remedy it by adding 4 spoons of salt and 6 spoons of sugar. Now I can't taste the mince. Well, there weren't much mince to begin with =__=; Was frozen in a nice 2 KG chunk whilst only needed about 500g. *sigh*)

O.O what did you put in it? eeii! don't ad so much salt/sugar T__T

if you want to add sweetness try increasing the onion you have in your sauce etc, and if you want it saltier try either adding some cheese (cheese with flavour.. not the melting type cheeses) during cooking, or serving it with cheese (like parmesan *drools* ^_^).. or making your meat a little saltier than usual before cooking it with the rest of the ingredients

o.o btw, what's bolognaise? *pause* aah, this is why you shouldn't listen to me ^_^

Actually we don't have cheese at home and generally no one eats cheese, so...reread beginning of sentence. Lol.

Put in tomato paste this time (it's been in the cupboard for over a year now ==;). I think that's what was so sour.

O.O whoa.. tomato paste.. you didn't put a lot in did you? once I used canned tomatoes instead of the normal genetically engineered tasteless ones, and didn't realise I didn't need so many.. and the taste was hideously sour T__T so.. tomato paste.. *imagines* O.O

waah! fenglet, you need to have some cheese at home XD *showers feng with cheeses*
