Argh...stupid physiologists, took a mark off because I wrote (mM) on the axis of a graph instead of mmol/L (yes, they corrected it to mmol/L...I was like...wtf...I thought they were the same thing?)
Hi I found your journal on the uni computers (I am very bored) and I thought Id tell you (probably a bit too late) that yes it is. I was just wondering what subjects you do?
Our course was integrated this year, so a number of disciplines were taught jointly for a given "theme" (such as cardiorespiratory system or nervous system).
The subject that caused this post was actually physiology >_>; They apparently believed that mM is not the same as mmol/L. How utterly unreliable. *sigh*
University of Sydney. I just found your livejournal on the library computer's internet explorer's history so I assumed just then you'd be at the same uni as I am - whoops! Im guessing youve got a friend who visited your journal here or something...
Theyre changing it next year anyway to split the 12 cp subjects to 6 cp (like all other subjects). I enjoy biochemistry but mostly for the protein structure and genetics side of things. Most people I know find it barely passable but at least its interesting. Not having done pharmacology I cant really compare but from what I observe from my pharm friends there is less lab time! Ive heard that next year biochem might be a bit easier after course changes, who knows!

Date: 2005-11-24 01:35 am (UTC)I'm still debating whether to do biochemistry or pharmacology. Is 3rd year biochem fun? Interesting? Er...comprehensible? Pass-able? Lol.
