Random fact of the day:

Tinea refers to ringworms¹. Taenia refers to tapeworms².


1) Ringworms are a type of fungus and are not wormy at all.
2) Tapeworms are nastily wormy and have hooks and suckers that help them...sucker onto your intestine.

o.o what about the worms in one's eyes? (you know how when you look up at the sky on a bright day, and don't concentrate on much, you can see little wormy things crawling across your eyeball? *pause* hmm, this is getting weird..) I was told that they are worms o.O'

Which reminds me, I had a 1cm-wide itchy patch on my arm once, went to the uni pharmacist and they said it was ringworm. They had me buy this pathetic anti-fungal cream which didn't work, i.e. they sold me a tube of crap or they weren't really sure if it was ringworm. Then it cleared on its own after a few weeks without any cream.

Bloody... I want my $15 back.

Don't shop at union pharmacy!! *shakes fist* they will cheat you.

my cat had worms once! when we came over to clean up his litter tray, they were really _really_ long and they were wiggling *faints* so on the kitty litter shovel thing the brown/white lump moved on the way to the compost bin.. T______T
