5 Nov 2005 06:08 pmWow, Babelfish surprised me O__o
I can't find the definition for transpeptidation, by the way...can anyone help? XD
Translation into English:
Reaction of hydrolysis of a peptide connection between two amino acids and later reestablishment of the connection between one of them and third without cost of energy. Are reactions catalyzed by peptidil-transferasas and, sometimes, autocatalytic (it is the case of the elimination of inteínas). Intein and extein see.
Wow! It made sense! Well, up until the first full stop anyway. Or maybe up until the second "and".
