If you are a Narnia fan and haven't already visited this site, do so!!
The concept art looks amazing. Check out the downloads section for gorgeous wallpapers. I was really iffy about watching this since the last time someone filmed The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe it had been really tacky. It looks like here they at least tried to put some thought into the construction of the set and props. Check out the props section! The centaur's sword looks so pretty XD And I liked how they worked the fine detail of Aslan's image into the children's gifts.
In fact I spent the last few days re-reading Narnia. I haven't read them since year 8, and wow...the Christian themes are so obvious now, particularly in LW+W, and some of them are quite conservative. I've finished reading LW+W, The Horse and His Boy (which I liked very much - though I did not like Shasta/Cor, I did enjoy reading about a girl who could hold her own on a horse) and Prince Caspian, which I also loved very much. I'm currently reading the Dawn Treader. I think I will like it a lot more than when I first read it. I really disliked Eustace before, but now I think he's quite funny. And the books feel so short now *sigh*. My favourite book used to be Silver Chair. I liked it simply because I felt so sorry for Prince Rilian being imprisoned by that witch for so long against his will and committing crimes against his own people (I think...oh dear, it was so long ago). And Eustace was so cute in it...I think XD
I've been feeling quite nostalgic these days, so I dug up Hamlet (yes I have a copy of it at home >_>) and read through some of the pages. I'm trying to find that line where Polonius asks for leave from Hamlet, and Hamlet replies that he is more than happy to give it. Ahh...the singularly good thing about year 12 if there ever was one was watching the performance at Playhouse. Since Hamlet is a play so open to interpretation I doubt I shall come across the same reading of it again, and I really loved that interpretation of Hamlet.
Hamlet angsts so much *sigh* And he really is rather cute ^-^
PS: Narnia won't be out in Australia until Boxing Day ToT
