irc.mircx.com - ie, the server that hosts almost all English scanlation groups and the majority of fansub groups - has officially died. Most groups have probably relocated and should have announcements on their websites. I think #mangaproject, #shoujomagic and #mangaart are all currently on irc.cruelfate.net

I was reading Fruits Basket volume 13 yesterday and noticed that Ayame has a chibi mouse as a mobile phone accessory. Very cute~!! ^^

Reasons why Tooru would get with Kyou instead of Yuki
- When Kyou says "If you have a guy you like, I would help you", Tooru bursts into tears (though she claims she doesn't know why she cried)
- Tooru is hurt when Kyou says "It's none of your business" and is worried that he would push her away one day.
- Yuki admits to Manabe that Tooru has given him a love that is most similar to "a mother's unencumbered love", and while he knows that romantic love does and can develop from that, it seems hinted that he prefers it not to develop purely from those grounds.
- Yuki also points out that when Tooru ran after Kyou (in volume 6) "Kyou had looked at Tooru as a woman he loved, and she had looked back with the same feelings".
- And the fact that a Yuki + Machi ending looks too possible, though, like Irene, I prefer Yuki + Manabe, without slash =^^=

I would like to see...
- Mayuko get together with either Shigure or Hatori. It'll be nicer for her to get with Tori-san, but she's hilarious with Gure-nii.

- Momiji and Momo-chan - so cute!!!
- Ayame get a girlfriend? *Gasps in shock*
- Manabe's girlfriend...I wonder if she's anything like Yuki-hime....mua ha ha XD
- An end to the story ~~; It looks all set to beat Hanakimi. I'll kill someone if it attempts to overtake Hana Yori Dango. There was a time when the longest shoujo stories were at a maximum of 10 volumes T___T

EEEEEEEE!!!!! OMG, you've got up to Vol 13????????????????????????? I MUST SOMEHOW GET IT OFF YOU!!!!!!!!!! AND ALL THE OTHER VOLUMES!!!!!!! Or get it myself from somewhere... OMG!!!!!!! Some much has happened!!!!! OOoooooh new people whom I don't know. Who is Irene, Mayuko (I thought Rin had a thing for Shigure although that was a few volumes ago) and Machi?????? Although it was implying from the middle volumes onwards that it is more Kyou and Touru, even though the anime KINDA suggested otherwise.

Has Hanakimi finished? I got to say, that is a draggy manga. Although FINALLY they confessed now I'm just waiting to see how the manga ties up. UMEDA SENSEI!!!!!!!!!!!!! *_*

Umm ^^;;;; Irene's my friend, who has decided to start collecting Furuba *_____*

Mayuko is their teacher...she's the blonde one with a ponytale and a mole under her right? eye. She was actually Kana's (Hatori's ex-girlfriend) best friend, but had liked Hatori while he was still going out with Kana. Shigure saw this and went out briefly with her because "she was feeling lonely". The two of them are really funny together because Mayuko always has an expression of "grr, why is this guy here?" whenever he's around XD

Manabe and Machi are new characters..the two of them are half-brothers and sisters ^^v We're just guessing that Yuki has a chance with Machi, but Yuki and Manabe (who looks really like black-haired Kyou) are a funny pair together.

Rin never really "had it" for Shigure, I think. She went out with Hatsuharu and both still love each other. Her fling with Gure-nii was because she thought he knew the way to undo the "curse".

I don't think Hanakimi is finished *yet* but it's finishing soon. One of the recent chapters had....umm....what's his name, Izumi? admitting to...er, her, that he knew she was a girl ages ago. So I'm guessing, this is approximately nearing the "closing ceremony"? Hana Yori Dango (Meteor Garden) has officially finished! Yay! At volume 38 or something! Finished as the longest shoujo manga ever *shakes head*

More reasons why Tooru will get with Kyou not Yuki:
- Manabe said "that orange haired d00d...kyou? looks like her boyfriend."
- After grabbing her hand tooru thought "He is 不可思议, can make my mood change with one sentence...kyou-kun is really...不可思议."
- While to Kyou, Tooru is "Tooru", to Yuki-Hime-sama, she is still "Honda san".
- The last 2 pages of chap 87.

And the most important reason...

- Because I Will It So! HA HA HA!

Oh and remember how Hana-chan said she saw Tooru with Manabe...could it be she saw him with Machi? since they do look alike n all ~_~;;; but then again...the Denpa is never wrong...>_>;;

You could argue that she saw Kyou with Machi, or Kyou with Tooru =P After all, Manabe looks like Kyou too.

It could just be a random butler? ^shrug^ I mean the Souma household is gigantic, so it's expected that random people would be floating around who happens to sound like Akito. Er, I think I'm contradicting myself.

Well, you *could* always argue, in the stubborn way of diehard LotR slash fans, that since Tooru is terribly frightened of Akito and she was very jumpy, she mistook the voice for Akito even if it didn't sound too much like him. Especially since she's seen him only a few times.

Ah, the plot's plonking on with its slow pace. Lots and lots of Yuki and Rin angst! Actually lots of angst with everyone ~~;;

Yuki: "I'm so sly, I was so pathetic, I really hate the old me, I want to change, one day I want to be able to face myself."
Tooru: "It's all been safely hidden, I don't want to see those memories again. I'll do my best sticking my nose in other people's business!" -- her own words.
Kagura: "I was so sly, I pretended I accepted all of Kyou without actually doing so. I created the gap between us."
Rin: "Why is everyone so kind to me?" *bursts into tears*
Kyou: "Not much time left, I have to treasure it."
Uotani: "COME SEE ME DAMN YOU!"
Kureno (rooster): "I can't go see her again."
Momiji: "I want to play the violin."
Momo-chan: "I want to play the violin with Momiji."
Mayuko: "I like Hatori, and DAMN THAT SHIGURE."
Hanajima: "..."

And all the other people do a good job of looking angsted by the development ~___~ Except Shigure, who seems to be in some deep dark plot behind everything.

Argh ~~;;; There was sooooo much angst on Yuki's part (cos he's the main character and was always a bit depressed to begin with). Every now and then he'd suddenly get depressed and have a fit, usually at Manabe. But he's now become close(r) with Ayame, going so far to defend his brother in front of his mum (that was cute ^^)

Yup, Momiji played the violin until his dad stopped him from playing because Momo-chan wanted to learn too ~~;;;

Er, I don't know what Yuki's angsting about. He always goes off on a little thought trip and either says "I'm starting to accept myself and other people more" or "I'm still so pathetic, I can't relate to other people [the way Kyou can]"...

But yeah...the author's doing a cheap CLAMP trick ;___; She's telling half of everything, and leaving the fans thinking "WHAT? WHAT?? WHAT WAS HE GOING TO SAY????" Arggh....frustrating T__T That's why you're getting so many different FB speculations coming out.

Speaking of CLAMP, it's been almost 2 years since the last time they touched X ~~;;
