I can't believe I'm still keeping up Windows Phone 7 news *face palm*

I have come to the conclusion that the fandom for phones probably consists of the same population of fanboys as the gaming industry. I never knew people got so hung up over a phone zOMG.

Click into any of the tech sites and it's like wading into a swamp of fighting crocodiles.

I mean, I thought the KAT-TUN fandom was bad enough, but *rolls eyes*

Like, there are people who categorically go to multiple websites (yes, I'm serious) and post at every positive/neutral news/commentary about Windows Phone 7, listing its missing features.

Umm. Do you have no life or are you getting monetary compensation from Apple?

If you are so scornful of an operating system (of a phone no less, and not even released yet), WHY ARE YOU EVEN PAYING ATTENTION TO THE NEWS?????

All of a sudden I had deja vus of AO/KT anti-fans starting a screaming match about something that had nothing to do with Akanishi x___X

Okay - so it has no copy & paste, but thank god MS backpedalled HARD after everyone rained acid scorn on their "our users don't need cut and paste" and now they're promising to release a patch...eventually.

It has no 3rd party multitasking...but neither does iPhone until the most recent version? At least it won't kill your batteries and is less likely to freeze (like Android sometimes does).

My personal issue (and obviously one that's practically never mentioned) is Asian character input. They only put out the ad to hire someone for that last week. We probably won't see Chinese input until mid next year =( That's pretty ironic given that half of their hardware developers are from Asia ==; (Samsung, LG, HTC, etc)

The ZUNE pass that I found interesting (but no way was I subscribing anyway LOL) doesn't seem like it will happen in Australia because of licensing issues. That's a bit of a bum...although given Australia's measly data packages I'm not sure if high volume music streaming would have been viable on Telstra.

And only Telstra will have WP7 for launch this year =( BOO.

Speaking of Apple, the Steve Jobs spat with journalism student is pretty funny. Fail on both sides. LOL.

I mean the student is an idiot for even insinuating that Apple is obliged to answer her calls/emails because it was "important for my good grades", but Jobs clearly also needs a lesson in PR.

You have not seen the "war" with android versus apple, and apple versus google, have you? XDDDDD Oh the geek fandom can be just as equally entertaining (and frightening) than the KT fandom XD. At least in KT fandom, it's often more like childish bantering; in geek fandom, imagine someone throwing an entire case at you, with evidence and facts and details and shoving it down your throat all at once, going back and forth endlessly. It's actually very entertaining XD *can't deny being apart of geek-dom XD*

As for Steve Jobs... lol no words can express how much win that is XDDDDDDD ♥ Finally, something about Apple that I love XD

Oh I have. The windows phone vs Android vs iPhone is just............*facepalm* I think I have been turned into a windows fan simply by virtual of the other two being so aggressive they have turned me anti. Kinda like how I had no opinion about Akanishi until I see his fans LOL

I find Microsoft fans are less annoying than Apple XD. The way I see it, Apple fans are the "stylish" fans, the ones that care about aesthetics and sleek functions. Google fans are ultimate geeks that care about all the goodies they can break into XD, and Microsoft fans are the normal ones in between (that could care less either way XD).

I find that strange because I never bought into the iPhone aesthetic. Like when iPod first came out I was so horrified at what a brick it was compared to the small cute mp3 players that Korean and Japanese manufacturers were already producing for the market. I am still convinced it's the sheep herd effect...where the advertising tells you "IT'S COOL BECAUSE IF YOU'RE COOL YOU MUST OWN THIS BECAUSE IT'S COOL AND IT'S ONLY COOL BECAUSE YOU MUST BE COOL TO OWN THIS" (spot the logic in that LOL) I really think the Apple phenomenon took off on clever marketing and then they started pulling ahead from competitors in terms of features.

I find Google fans okay, but yeah, they're the ones who want customisation and individuality and being able to hack the juice out of their stuff XDDD

Apple is more brainwashing than anything XD. I think it was more that Apple was the first to start that trend, with the large capacity mp3 players. Then, after it started it, they began broadening their market to covering those that want that, in addition to those that want the smaller players, and so on and so forth. They`re marketing is good, but I think it also has a lot to do with they're almost one step ahead of their competition, that make them so much more popular. Plus, I can't deny, I do like their aesthetics (now) because they do make their things look soo pretty XD.

As for Google fans, that is why you'll spot a lot more males in the google fanboat than females, because typically, guys are the techy geeks XD and most girls like the pretty thoughtless features on the iPhone that would take Albert Einstein to mess up (minus the antenna haha XD). Sounds sexist XD, but there was a study done on android users versus apple, and the majority of android (something like 90% or something ridiculously higher XD) were males, but apple was more balanced.

Actually when they first started out they weren't that much ahead in their specs compared to existing MP3s? But I do remember the stations getting lined with huge billboards and all their ads on TV and their whole PC vs Mac ad which made Mac apparently the cool kid on the block LOL

I'm pretty big on aesthetics too which is why I wasn't impressed when I saw the home screen for Windows but their animation is so cool *___________* I think I'm bought out by the animation effect and the hub layouts LOL

I don't know why but there is something about Apple's grey-white bubble aesthetic that really creeps me out (I'm talking more about the Mac than the iWhatevers). It seems so clinical and distant.

Actually, from what I remember, wasn't iPod the first to have a large storage drive? Or at least, one of the first? I can't quite remember, but it caused quite the stir, because while so many more were lacking in space, Apple came out with a portable player that started this stupid craze. Their marketing is really good though, and yeah, I agree with the sheep thing; I don't know when it became trendy to have one, but Apple is totally overrated XDDD

Windows really stepped up their game. Their aesthetics are so much better, but in part, they were "inspired" by Apple a little bit XD. Basically Apple pushes, and Microsoft tries to push harder, and it just keeps continuing endlessly XD.

Lolol you're the first person I know to put it like that XDDDD. Usually, people I know say Macs are so sleek and gorgeous.. but clinical and distant? I think I love you a little too much for that XDDDD
