I hope Yamanade's opening song (if it's done by KT) will sound nicer =/ I can deal with pop and I can deal with rock, I just can't deal with generic sugary nondescript pop/rock ...........hey, come to think of it, that's NEWS's style >__>;;;;;

but the CM.... Koki's "nan de?" expression was uber spaced out and Ueda looked like he had been dressed in tinsel.

The song D-Motion is questionable. Besides the naming (WTF?) it was sounding to Johnny-ish for my taste. Catchy but not stuff I want to see KAT-TUN singing in the coming year.

But Jin's ponytail during sports day was just.........UGH.

He does look good with long hair but if he didn't look so bored all the time it wouldn't make him look so tired and unenergetic.

Honestly the only thing running through my mind watching sports day was Jin + soccer = WIN *soccer maniac*

Akanishi seems to clam up with KAT-TUN events, but seems lively enough (but nervous) with BANDAGE. Whereas Kame always hams up some serious fan service whenever he's on camera.

I'm not much of a Jin fan although once upon a time I liked him, and I think I still like the kid he used to be. His antics with KT has really ticked me off for the past four years.

If I were a Jin fan I'd probably feel sorry for him, because his time away from KT (whatever the reason for the LA trip was) had really broken him off from the group. Just browsing the new KT magazine interviews compared to the old ones...he and Kame used to lead so much of the interviews, and Ueda would be the one who'd stay silent most of the time (especially during his Gackt phase LOL) Nowadays he'd offer so little, and frequently it sounds uncaring and uninterested in what other KT members are doing.

He used to be the tension high one, but now he's just so withdrawn. In pair conversations he seems okay, but maybe that's because he's forced to participate, although I have to say he only ever seems high during the Akakame Mail corner Orz

I really don't know what's going on between him and the rest of KT. A lot of the time he's not participating in the group, although he does respond to each member individually if they try to involve him. But there must be some secret agreement somewhere because ever since he returned, no one in KT's ever called him Jin again in public...and he is the only one in KT who calls Kame "Kamenashi" =___=;;; Even Junno, who used "Kamenashi" all the time in 05/06, now just says "Kame Kame" like everyone else ==;;;;

*Jin Fan* ^^

A shallow part of me likes him because he's hot (I'm only 20!), but my main reason for being a fan is that I'm appreciative of him taking initiative control towards his music (KAT-TUN to an extent too)- writing, arranging his own songs etc. Where Johnny's is overrun with cookie-cuttered "idols," Jin gives me some hope for the establishment.

When I first became aware of KAT-TUN, I thought that Jin was seriously anti-social towards KT-TUN, but now I think that he's just become extremely wary of the media (I can't blame him, with all that S*** spouted during his LA stint). Ditto to his relationship with Kamenashi. However I have watched enough fancams to be assumed that they get along fine (possible "AKAME" however, makes me laugh xd). I remember someone suggesting/reporting that because akame was getting too much fan love, Johnny requested them to desist in order for T-TUN to get some spotlight.

Out of all the members, he seems most happy around Junno -I just recently watch the BtR DVD and Taguchi is definitely calling "Jin" ^^

I actually prefer him more silent/moody compared to his pre-LA days *shrugs*. It's probably because its not fake and IMO carries more emotion than say... him dishing out fanservice to get fans/ratings. (The only exception to this is Junno- his personality is incredibly open and he's my 2nd favourite member)

Akanishi is definitely not the most emotive of JE boys, nor the most popular, but I appreciate that he's got potential to be something other than the shiny idol image Johnny originally cut out for him.

I agree, I think KT's very fortunate in that they're allowed a pretty free rein when it comes to their music and projects, instead of the perfectly polished idol groups that Johnny's normally produces.

Since you're not into Akame, let's not get into that side of things, although since I am an Akame fan I think it accounts for a lot of things XD But JE groups usually have a leader and for a long time since KT was formed, Kame and Jin were its heads, and JE did a lot to push just the two of them rather than getting even exposure for all members. There seems to be a link between Jin going to LA and the subsequent equalising of the member dynamics, which personally I think is a great thing - not just because I'm a Kame fan and I think he should stop carrying the whole group on his shoulders, but because the other members have a lot of personality and now they have a chance to show it.

For me though I see Jin in the opposite light to you XD I don't think he's ever been one to play for the cameras, and I think very little of the enthusiasm he used to have were faked. Now it just feels like he wants to keep more of himself hidden, and for me that feels less real. Maybe I'm too much of a by-the-books person, but I think if your job is an idol, then you have an obligation to your fans, and acting lazy and bored and for all the world like you're not interested in being there, even though your fans might think it's cute (we all think the world of our idols, so it's perfectly normal XDD), the fans of KTTUN are not impressed.

Personally I think Junno is a scary character XDDD He's always so smiling and silly but sometimes the things he say are quite perceptive, at times even cutting.

oh a akame fan !? lol I don't mind it but I find it amusing how some fans will make an akame moment out of anything XD

I get what you are saying about Jin but... *shrugs* I won't deny that I'm happy when he genuinely smiles (aka CTKT- Christmas special). Emo-ish I can handle, but if he starts throwing commands like a diva, I'll be a seriously pissed off fan >-<*.

I think my preference is influenced from a general bemusement/horror/liking of fan service. I totally lapped up member-ai moments (eg Junno & Jin trying to kick each other) on their concert DVD's but I think my eyes popped out when I saw Kame unzipping his fly ala strip show during his solo on the summer tour. My mind was just screaming "OMFG!!!!- KAT-TUN is reduced to this in order to sell cd's???" I'm definitely not prudish, but I was somehow offended that Kamenashi had to do that (If he enjoyed it, I'll happily take back my words XD).

Actually, Kame, (imo) always gives the most fan-service, Koki second. I cracked up laughing at a recent MS performance, where he attempted a MJ pose XD <333

Ah yes...Kame scares me sometimes ==;;; He really doesn't need to go so far...I don't know how many fans like him purely for the fanservice but surely not that many ==;;;;

LOL spent forever looking for that pose and realised it was in Best Artist (which I hadn't noticed on first viewing, except wondering why Kame was so high and kept spinning around in the end XDDDDDD) HAHA Ueda and Maru telling Junno off and everyone else laughing at him and Kame with a totally I-wanna-bury-myself-in-a-hole-now expression XDDDDDDD Totally inside joke moment there XDDD

Yeah, I don't like the tune from the bit I've heard. It sounds like a NEWS song, so it's not the style of music I like. Sugary boyband J-pop is really not my cup of tea, and I think one of the reasons I liked KT was because their music is quite distinct from other JE groups.

As for the CM, Taguchi looks like he's becoming one with the wallpaper, Kame is neatly giftwrapped in golden foil, and animal rights activists are banging on Jin's door Orz

If they start producing songs like this... that's bye bye for me. I also like KT because they are more distinct from other JE boys (QoP was their best "era" for me). It's always a good sign if I'm not laughing/cringing while watching a PV (15 secs into Arashi's Crazy Moon had me cackling).

Kame's suit *smirks* They all look really bad in gold. Jin is the only one wearing semi-normal stuff (minus dead animal) but I would change my mind if he stood up and exposed the whole outfit >-<

I like their BtR songs better than QoP ^^ But I liked QoP much better than their first two albums.

I heard that they preformed The D-Motion on Countdown *cries*, but I didn't see it. I skipped half of the show because with that many JE boys, all the songs blurred the show into a really long, repetitive cycle.
