Slept about 20 minutes this morning due to heat + stress + random neighbour that howled for an hour starting at 1:30am, and his neighbour banging on the door and screaming at him to shut up. Literally, "ARRRRRRRGH SHUT UP". It was hilarious, until I couldn't get to sleep.

3) Mangafox has most of the newest English scans. If it's not there I don't know where you can get it. Please support the author by buying licensed releases where possible.
4) PSP = Primary School Principal. MSP = middle school/junior high, HSP = high school/senior high etc.
5) Previous Gakuen Alice summaries and related entries: here.
- Hotaru says a lot of very encouraging words to Mikan, telling her to go to her mum. She says that everyone understands Mikan's decision, and the two needs each other. She says "if it's us, we will definitely be alright" and meet again. Crying, Hotaru smiles at Mikan and says "our bond isn't something that can be broken by this". They hug each other, and Hotaru says (until they meet again?) they will both do their best, as will everyone else, so all Mikan needs to do is to look forward and wear her smile, because that will become everyone's source of energy. She tells Mikan to follow the path she believes in. Mikan looks around at everyone, and they're all looking teary, but no one's objecting to her decision.
- Natsume looks really lonely. Aww. Mikan remembers Natsume telling her (I think this was when he pulled her out from PSP's when they had her cornered and wanted to force her to use her Theft Alice) that he wants to become an adult and have the strength to protect her, and not wanting to let go of her hand. Now obviously Mikan's the one who's chosen to leave.
- Wow, more flashback ==;;; Shiki picks Yuka up from the snow. She bemoans that she brings misfortune on everyone she associates with, even her own daughter whom she could only protect by disowning her. She tells Shiki it's not too late to leave, that she's more and more frightened of losing people, even more so than being alone. Shiki holds her and says, "Yuka, things that cause me happiness...and things that are misfortunate, I will decide what they are." "It's okay if I do not become your important person, I just want to walk beside you..." and share her pain and etc. Yuka cries about how she can't be with Mikan as she enjoys the things Yuka wanted to but couldn't, like school outings etc.
- Shiki and Yuka go on a string of missions to remove PSP's Clone Alices from the world. I'm actually a bit confused, because the sequence is like this: an old company executive is getting into his car, Yuka appears behind him and holds onto him. She steals his Alice and teleports away, while the man collapses to the ground amidst surprised secretaries/advisers/whatever. It seems to me that PSP's controlling real people as puppets, rather than cloning himself and putting them at powerful positions?
- Noda explains that Shiki and Yuka went around hunting down PSP's clones, and as a consequence were branded terrorists. Kaoru provided a lot of help to them.
- Yuka and Shiki are talking about the latest intel...which reveals PSP's clone is actually the boss of Z!! So Z wasn't an anti-Alice Gakuen organisation at all, it's PSP's private little army (so what exactly was Reo doing there and asking Narumi to join? ==;) Shiki says that PSP's ambition was far greater than they initially thought and that they hadn't been careful enough.
- Yuka tells Shiki to tell Kaoru immediately to pull out because it is too dangerous for her to keep investigating and she has a family, but before they can get to her, Kaoru's car gets hit by a truck (hinted that it was an intentional hit).
- Yuka collapses to the floor crying. She tells Shiki that this was the last time she's going to cry and cuts her hair short. She asks Shiki to set up a meeting with Z.

Date: 2009-11-02 02:14 pm (UTC)Though I hate seeing Natsume sad. I think Mikan made the right decision. Her mom needs her more than anyone right now.
And btw, is it just me or is Shiki like the best love interest for Yuka? He's so loyal. :)

Date: 2009-11-05 04:49 pm (UTC)Maybe the PSP is making the people from Z organization think that his goal is to destroy the academy, but is really just making the people that are against him work for him. =P
