gakuen alice chapter 121 summary

1) Thank you everyone for the comments. I don't have time to reply to most of them, but it lets me know that people want these summaries.

4) PSP = Primary School Principal. MSP = middle school/junior high, HSP = high school/senior high etc.

- While Mikan is clinging to Natsume being depressed about his life-shortening Alice, Natsume suddenly realises that Ruka is watching, and he looks at Ruka with a really apologetic and guilty expression...probably the most expressive expression we've seen on his face since Iinchou possessed his body XDDD
- There follows a 10 page interior monologue by Ruka that I'm not going to translate word for word because I don't think I can do it justice. Basically he smiles tearily at Natsume while thinking to him that Natsume doesn't have to look that way, that yes he (Ruka) does like Mikan a lot, but Mikan's existence is like the sun to Natsume, lighting up his darkness, and that Mikan's attracted a lot more to him (Natsume) as well. He likes both of them a lot, so Natsume shouldn't hesitate because of him...and besides, their bond had existed before they were even born. The others are giving the love triangle sympathetic looks.
- Cut back to flashback...Yuka notices Mikan has a fever, and she panics and starts crying and feels really helpless again. Grandpa appears!!!!!!!!!!!! He was walking home and sees Yuka collapsed in the snow crying, and takes pity on her and tells her that his house is nearby. I think he says he's worked at a kindergarten before? I'm having trouble with his kansai-ben again ==;
- Yuka wakes up in bed and realises her arm is weird. Grandpa tells her that the doctor said there's some weird poison injected in her arm and she should stay put to avoid it spreading. He says Mikan's getting treated because her condition's not getting better, and I think he realises she doesn't want people to find her and so tells her that she can rest at his house? Yuka hears someone knocking on the door and knows it's the school. Grandpa is about to go get it when he sees Yuka crying and asks her if they're the ones that wounded her. Yuka thinks to herself that if they get caught here, Mikan will get involved with the school, but if she takes Mikan on the run, Mikan might not recover and die. She starts teleporting, and as Grandpa watches her in shock, Yuka cries and pleads for him to take care of Mikan. As the school people bursts in the door, she disappears.
- Yuka ends up outside in the snow, and she realises that she can never go back to that house again, for if she does she'll pin her connection to that place and involve Mikan. She realises her dream has totally fallen apart, the dream of having a perfect family and staying together with Yukihira and her children. Grandpa holds Mikan in his arms and says that Mikan's like the child of a fairy, who left her and disappeared mysteriously, and promises to take care of her.
- Mikan stops crying for a moment to apologise and says she wants to leave with "that woman"...and then she changes her wording and calls Yuka "mum". She says she wants to go to the outside world with her mum. She says that even if they have to be always on the run and she doesn't know when she'll have the chance to meet with everyone again, she will come find them eventually, but right now she wants to go with her mum, to support her, because Yuka being alone is too pitiful..and finally because...she wants to meet her mum.
Wow...this chapter is a complete tearjerker *goes to find tissue*
COULD THIS BE THE END OF THE FLASHBACKS?!?! =D=D=D=D=D
I'm happy to see it end here, even if we haven't yet seen how Shiki eventually found Yuka. I don't think it's that important...a passing mention would be good enough ==;; It would be nice to see when Z formed as well, although Z's philosophy seems to be anti-Alice Gakuen while Yuka is more anti-PSP. No hint of Reo at all...I wonder if she forgot about him =(

Date: 2009-10-06 07:52 am (UTC)but there's something bothering me, I remember Yuka shouting Mikan's name when they were about to go to watch the past ~Yuka said that she came out because she had a feeling that she will never see Mikan again and then there's this also from before chapters of someone talking about being back inside or not seeing the academy (can't remember it -__-)for a long time. And there's also pictures of gakuen alice characters when they turn 15. I wonder if all of these are related. ~though I haven't seen Natsume's pic when he's 15 and so is Mikan's pic. :( I really hope Natsume won't die and i'm actually hoping that if ever Mikan will go outside Natsume will go with her since his life is also in danger. hehe just want to share my thoughts...
