impulsive spending

On the whim of the moment I bought the Narnia movie...erm, artbook? It has all the concept art, designs and design notes for costumes, scenery and the mythical creatures. Upon reading it's actually more interesting than I expected, and I am not saying this out of any great love for the series LOL
The detail they put into some of the props is just amazing...like the symbolic meaning of flowers they put on Peter's armour, or the shape of his helmet, or the design of Susan's quiver. And the inlays on the sword hilts and the imprinting on the...other stuff are cool XDDD I'm surprised they bother considering how little you can see...then again, there are crazy people out there who watch things on slow motion and on 100 inch TV screens.
Concept art for Cair Paravel:

Isn't it gorgeous *__*
I think I grow fonder of Edmund every time I see him. He's just such an honest character, and it's sweet how he always lives with the shadow of his mistake. AND he was the only one not being a bitch in Prince Caspian =___=
Shall happily use it for reference next time. At least it has nice, sharp-detailed colour pictures. The LOTR concept artbooks only had pencil sketches =/
