bombs and sunsets
16 Jun 2009 05:09 pmMy dreams involving psychotic madmen trying to send the city up in flames has made a return!
I was in a big modern day city that didn't look like Sydney. Or in fact any of the cities I've been to except maybe a west coast US city (don't ask why I'd think that).
Apparently I was part of a police squad. Yes, I have been watching a lot of crime shows, so that could be why XD
A woman planted a bomb in a school of some sort and locked herself up in a hostel. We had to go into the hostel and search for her, and it was all very crime drama like, with people (me ==;) holding guns and bursting in on each room and checking the people inside. The hostel was pretty old and had these balcony walkways, and it had about 5 or 6 levels in all. There were about 10 or so people in each occupied room, although most of the rooms were empty and the doors were left ajar (to indicate that they were empty). People were mostly still in bed in the rooms that were occupied, and a lot of them were Middle Eastern guys - not that it meant anything, but it was just an interesting detail XDDD
It was actually really scary because for once I was in the dream, and the thought of the person behind the next door might be waiting for you with a gun is.......really scary =___=;;;;;;;;;
When we got to the second floor, for some reason I began psychoanalysing the criminal, and thinking that she probably wanted to be somewhere so the she could see the bomb going off and the aftereffects of that. We found a vantage point that had a view of the place she planted the bomb, but it was a penthouse-like structure and she had locked herself inside. Then there was this really weird bit where I jumped from the ground on to the roof of the vantage point, all the while someone was saying how it was ridiculous for anyone to be up there because they need to fly, and then they looked at me and there was a giant "uhhhhhhh" moment.
The team then concentrated on trying to deactivate the bomb, for which she's left cryptic clues that sounded something like "when the mysterious orb falls" and something about the horizon. Anyway, it was worked out in the end (mainly because she's done it before and the previous victims worked out the crypt - but not in time) that at sunset, there was one moment when the shadows of two structures cross at the oceanside and you must place a specific combination of items there in order to deactivate the bomb.
We got there and found the two structures and kept trying to work out whether the shadows would cross at all at the given location because it should get very long as the sun sets, and it would run off the location. And I woke up 3 minutes before we would find out if it crossed =0=;;;;;;;;;
Stressful dreams are annoying, because then you wake up with a mighty headache =__=;;;;;; AND I DIDN'T GET TO SEE THE ENDING.
