The official Gokusen movie site has updated its cast list.

Actually, what it's done is taken off its original cast list and squished half the names under the bottom, and added a few.

Notable additions are: Oguri Shun, Ishigaki Yuma, Narimiya Hiroki from Gokusen I and Hayami Mokomichi, Koike Teppei, Koide Keisuke from Gokusen II, all of whom are listed as "cameos", or "friendship appearances"。

1) Why is Ryuu the only one who is part of the main cast?
2) WHERE IS HAYATO?!
3) ...Oh, and Sawada Shin.

At least MatsuJun has the excuse of being busy with filming for Smile (even though Kame was also busy filming for Kami no Shizuku and rehearsing for concert, but hey).

WHERE IS HAYATO DAMNIT.

There were so many sightings of Mokomichi and Teppei with Kame that when their names didn't appear the first time we thought those sightings were false. But now that we have those names up there - WHAT ABOUT THE SIGHTINGS WITH JIN?! |||Orz

Apparently there are two theories as to why Hayato won't appear at all:
1) The jimusho is still trying to clamp down on them and so doesn't want them in a movie together, and
2) Jin signed up to Bandage first, which will be released next year. Possibly part of the deal was that it would be his debut movie, so he won't actually be allowed to appear in Gokusen before that movie.

Considering how insane Kame was during the recent concert, I don't think the first reason is true so therefore....

ARRRRRRGGGH It would so suck if it were the second reason!!!!!!!!!!

They were probably still negotiating it and editting while they were at the concert, which would explain Jin's tentative, "Do you think Bandage should be called my debut movie, or my debut as a lead?"

Just think of the number of TICKETS you could SELL if you had them the way they were. RAAAR.

Just...Just...JUST...okay, just put it in the director's cut or something damnit!!! I want to see truck accident Hayato being fussed over by Ryuu *Cries*

lolz at your misery. Well, Akame and the drama deserve thier own debut movie, no? I am Ryu fan so I will just take whatever so long he is in. HayaRyu duo is historical, but Goku2 was probably more about Ryu, since his chara was developed much better than the rest. But like you, the immense talks about Gokusen movie during the MC were just suspicious. I attended 5 days out of 8 and I thought Ah, these talks should hint something, otherwise why Jin seems to bring these issues again and again, and given the fact that the MCs were rehearsed, it could mean anything or nothing at the same time. I wonder though, with that star-studded casts how on earth they will work the story. It's insane to have that many with the kind of depth Gokusen is famous for.
Oh, and sorry for stalking ><"

Really? I would have thought Goku2 was more a Hayato series than Ryuu (don't get me wrong, I'm much more of a Kame fan than a Jin fan, but still). I think that's partly because Hayato is so outgoing and fools around while Ryuu stays in the background and doesn't engage much.

Are the MC's rehearsed? I didn't think they were O__o I think they have a list of what they need to promote and make sure what they get through them. Obviously I think Kame and Jin agreed beforehand on how they're going to approach the topic of Hayato, which led to the whole overseas jokes rather than long awkward silences =/ Maybe it was because I wasn't there, but it might not mean anything apart from Jin being supportive of Kame doing his job (i.e. doing the promotion).

^^ no worries. I just think Ryu was more impactful. He did won an award for this, and no, it's not NIKKAN.. lolz ><" But if it wasn't for Ryu, and I wasn't even his fan back then, I would not survive Gokusen2.

Ueda-Maru ever mentioned in R-ONE KT about the MC rehearsal, and like you, I also think it might be partially rehearsed. Since there was time constraint and GOD, the promotions were nuts. Not only for Kt but for Mr Brain, HSJ, Juniors, they were like certified pimps :/.
Yes the talk about LA could have mean anything ot nothing at the same time. But it was hilarious nonetheless, especially when lately Jin has been a little less interesting. ><"

Yeah, I agree Ryuu had more impact. He was a more fascinating/unusual character than Hayato or any of the others actually. And for someone pretty new to the acting industry, Kame did fairly well in that role.

It seems less and less likely that Hayato's in it now, so ^sigh^

Jin is constantly zoned out these days, except when he's either trying to get Kame's attention or bullying Maru. Or telling Taguchi that he's uninteresting XD
