Even though KT's new album hasn't in fact broken any records (although their concert ticket sales already has ==;) I don't think I've actually ever liked so many songs on any of their albums before ♥

I practically like all the songs except "Kimi michi", which is too happy-dappy-Johnny's-juniors-generic to my liking, and Koki's screeching punk-rock "Pierrot", and Taguchi's typically happy-dappy-boring-sounding "Wind".

So yeah. Wow, I actually like Maru's solo for once~~!! (Maru: what do you mean for once. You've never even listened to any of my solos!!!) Maa~ Maa~ Details, shmetails.

The album did have four singles I already liked, so that helped. I think I still like the original version of "White X'mas" better. I'm really not a fan of rap ==;; Maybe I should look up what Koki's rap actually says...

In other news, it's now confirmed (and also all over the entertainment news) that Kame makes a return as Odagiri Ryuu in the Gokusen movie (the show which, I have to say, catapulted KT into the mainstream).

His name appears just under Nakama Yukie's in the cast list. What the heck =____= Isn't he only supposed to be a cameo? I seriously thought Haruma (yes, the guy in Bloody Monday) and Takaki were going to be the main side characters if anything.

And Odagiri Ryuu is now a "student teacher" supervised by Yankumi. HE LOOKS LIKE SHIZUKU AAAAAAARRRR

Seriously, chubby-faced Kame + suit + short bobbing hair = Shizuku. GAAH.

I mean, okay, I know it would be completely unreasonable for Ryuu to have long dyed hair now that he's a teacher, but......gaaah. He looks too much like Shizuku.

And there's nothing on Jin. Or indeed, anyone else from Kurogin, like Teppei or Mokomichi or Koide. And of course there's NONE at all from Shirokin, except maybe Kuma ==;; Does that mean all the sightings were false?? T___T

How can there be Ryuu with no Hayato???? T____T

Still can't get over the fact that Kame is in such a major role =___= Whyyyyyy.

PS: When I first saw Kame's name so high on the list, my first thought was "Okaay...here we go, his detractors are going to say he's attention-seeking and talked himself into the role again." And.....as expected, that happened ==;;;;;;;;; Yes, Kame gets along very well with a lot of his seniors, but unlike a certain someone, he doesn't have people high up in the Jimusho going to every length to promote him ==;;;

I thought rumors said jin was at filming and people saw him... and i think kame's role in this is quite big not just as a cameo guest... i could have sworn i read somewhere saying it was "staring" or at least "co-staring". oh well he's there no matter what critiques say...

people high up in the jimusho? =S i thought there was once this girl who claimed to be goro's niece and she said kame follows johnny around quite abit?

Yeah...there's been a huge number of sightings, not only of Jin but also of Mokomichi and Koike (not so much Koide or Oguri Shun though). Still, reports of sightings and rumours are one thing, even if they're true they can still be cut in the final edit. Kame's name on the official website is just under Nakama's so he is definitely in a huge role ==; He's also in all the new previews and interviews that came out - even Miura and Takaki aren't!

Oh, yes, Johnny himself is really fond of KT. If anything KT is like a child(?) to him, something he fostered into fame. But Johnny isn't the only one who holds power in the Jimusho, especially with his health. Rumours say that's how NEWS got formed in the first place =__=;

But haven't you thought it odd that KT's marketing is considerably less...active than other groups? I'm not talking about their music or concert, but rather the jobs they get - last year KT's been in what...one drama? Spokesperson for 2 ads? One variety show? Two stage shows? Compared to even HSJ (who are meant to be still in high school, remember) who have members off going on all these different programs. This is crazy for a group that sells out 13 day Dome cons when HSJ can't even fill up one day of Dome (btw, I'm not saying HSJ sucks...they just debuted, they haven't got a stable fan backing so I'm not surprised).

Anyway, all these thoughts came from someone's rather convincing theory about KT and NEWS and how a certain someone in NEWS is highly favoured by someone in the Jimusho (who is not Johnny-san).

aaaah i suppose so but I think if it's going to be nakama yukie's last gokusen it'd be fitting to have as many of her old students as possible i suppose... I'm just reeling from the shock kame was chosen well you know after KnS which wasn't quite a hit...

Johnny is getting old but isn't like mary older? unless it's julie you're referring to...

I get the vibe johnny is real into this whole heisei thing atm... so i don't find it surprising that HSJ are that active... but lately it's been less i suppose... concerts and their regular shows only not even a cd... Hmmmn you mean HSJ didn't sell all 550000tix? lol sry am not too sure about how well HSJ sell cause i get the impression they sell pretty well...

someone in NEWS ka... i get the feeling i know who but yea... aren;t they like real good friends irl anyway... I suppose good friends and work don't quite have anything to do with each other ^^;;; What's more worrying is that KT's sales aren't as strong as they used to be =S

The initial cast list doesn't have any of her other old students except Kuma, so it's just really random why Kame was chosen. As you said, KnS got pretty bad ratings, and with Jin's movie promotion timed to start later this year, it's really easy for people to think "oh, Kame just wants to debut on the big screen before Jin" when I really doubt that's the case. But if it's for the movie promotion (after all, GokuII got the best ratings out of all three, and individually, KT is probably more popular than HSJ), why is it just Odagiri? It wasn't just Odagiri that floated GokuII.

I'm not too sure on the specifics of HSJ tix sales either, but I heard the debut Dome con had a lot of empty seats. Whether that's true or not - there must be a reason why HSJ didn't have Dome in their tour this year. It shouldn't be surprising though - after all, Arashi got into Dome 8 years after they debuted, and KT got into Dome 3 years after they started holding concerts. HSJ just formed and none of them are that popular individually.

I heard NEWS also couldn't fill their seats, but I'm not sure if that's true or not.

Are they really good friends? I have a feeling Jin thinks of him as a good friend but it's not reciprocated exactly ==;;;;

I'm not surprised KT sales are going down =/ They have the most negative publicity out of all Johnny's groups, and I don't know if that's purely because of who they are or if - as people have theorised - the Jimusho is using that as a tactic to cover the ass of other groups. Considering Jin and a certain someone are such good buddies, isn't it interesting how every time their little clique does something stupid, it's Jin's name pasted across the headlines, and that person is either not mentioned or, as recently happened, "he was busy with his work and wasn't there at the time".

But also KT's release schedule was pretty crazy in the last 6 months =___= 3 singles and an album and a concert that changes over 13 days + accessory merchandise. Like. They think their fans are made of money or something? |||||||||||Orz
