Looking ahead
8 Feb 2004 10:07 pmJust torturing myself by looking at past papers for the units I'm planning to do in uni. I'm having 2nd thoughts about having chosen Physics (Environmental), it seems like the exact type of physics that gives me a headache - eg. the directions of magnetic fields surrounding the two most deformed objects that came from the hand of someone who can't draw. Whoever wrote the Phys/Regular test was...interestingly humourous. Phys/Technological looks like a harder version of Quanta to Quarks and Ideas to Implementation...which was fine, so maybe I'll ask for a swap. Look, I can recognise Young's double slit experiment in the test! (That's very sad) There seems to be at least one "impact" question: Why was the photoelectric effect important in the development of Quantum Physics? - But at least, it's more science based. The addition of "Explain in less than half a page" after the question worries me. There's actually quite a lot of familiar concepts in Phys/Regular and Phys/Technological, but the questions are generally typical HSC 8-markers, and there are 12 of them, and you have to do it in the same amount of time (3 hours).
Ooh, chemistry is certainly looking rosy. The assessment mark delegation includes laboratory, which also includes, "attendance and attitude". Luckily that bit is only worth 10% ^0^ It also includes the marks of best 3 out of 4 quizzes, plus a 75% weighting on the yearly. And damn it, no past papers to mope from!
Why is there no biology? Only "biological sciences"?
Maths looks like a Fail.
I will now commence my escape from reality.
