Because Irene said it was awesome, I went and watched Arashi's Truth PV and...it was awesome XD Honestly I've never really loved any of Arashi's songs unless they came attached to a drama I liked and then I often think I like the song simply because of the drama. Truth is awesome because of Maou, but the PV is awesome because of lots of sparkly things and violins and excellent use of the colours black and red XD
If Truth was an exercise in how red and black should be used, Hey! Say! Jump's Your Seed song falls somewhere below the threshold >_>; I'm probably sensitive, but the blood red background with black tendrils of smoke vaguely materialising into draconoid forms is just.......freaky. I'm a bit meh about the song being used for the Japanese release of Kungfu Panda. It's waaaay too heavy on the bass and as a result most of the song sounds tuneless, the chorus isn't catchy and the entire song's too empty in a really noisy way (...it makes sense in my head). Probably the best thing about the singing was Chinen's beautiful treble...I wonder what they are going to do once his voice breaks =0=; There's a lot of heavy beats and the tune (also staying in the low registers) kinda hangs uncomfortably between the drums because there isn't a lot of other backing instruments...so the entire song sounds really gloomy already. The PV showed them dancing on a dark stage in between badly lit bamboos and it was just.......................macabre. It is soooo not a Kungfu Panda song ==;
Their best PV is still their debut Ultra Music Power...the golden trio (as Irene calls them - you see, I'm blaming my fangirlism on Irene, which is not entirely untrue) were absolutely kirakira it it~ Surprising how chipper Chinen looked in it when he was so tense in Hey! Say!. Even the kid's voice sounds girly ==; At least Yabu sounded like a boy even when he sang the high notes. So the hat's passed from Ryou to Yabu and now to Chinen...aww.
The Dreams Come True PV was......childish, for lack of a better word.
Arashi's One Love PV was so Stepford wives-like XDDD But I love the song ToT Well okay, I don't really love the music, but I love the lyrics...they're so appropriate for Doumyouji ToT
