FAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGGGGG >.
2003's one I could do 3/4 of the questions. 2002 I could do all of the 4 questions. But this year????? WTH!#$@(#*$@??????????? I couldn't even do the first 2 questions. Riemann sums for 12 marks and modelling for 12 marks?!?!?!?! ARGH!!!!!!!!!!
OMG and even the FIRST bloody question was soooo hard. There was never a 2nd order partial fraction as the very first question of the paper!!!! ARGH what happened to simple integral table reading "evaluating"?!?!?!?! *Goes and bombs school of Maths* And the multiple choice....WTH!!!!! ARR*(#@&$GHH
I seriously did not pass that paper. FRICKEN HELL. I don't want to do calc AGAIN.
EVERYONE BETTER FAILED. *GLARES*

Date: 2004-11-11 12:15 am (UTC)and our questions were really really easy.. they were like: "have you attended david's k-th lecture? if so, tick this box, and we shall give you marks" T__T well not quite but they were seriously just rote learning rubbish type questions..
oh, and there were several questions that seriously reminded me of last year's 2U HSC paper. *sob* what's with the "find the volume of a sphere" question?? it was worth 4 sodding marks! urgh, I have this horrible feeling that everyone's gonna pass and get scaled down on this paper. except for those like me who stuffed up the really easy questions due to nervousness + sheer incompetance
your paper sounds much worse though :( hmm, your lecturer last year also set a hard exam (he set the 2003 M1903 exam.. it was SO much harder than the one david easdown set this year! *whimpers*).. perhaps it's to do with the lecturer..?

WHO'S THE LECTURER?????
Ugh, the first two questions were BARELY alright. The 2002 paper for questions 1, 2 and half of questions 3 and 4 were just simple application of the few integration techniques. In fact for the last 2 years, most of Q1 was simple reading off the standard integrals and some substitutions, Q2 is usually something like integration by parts and volumes of rotation. Q3 is usually first order linear plus some miscellaneous stuff and they leave 2nd order linear and modelling to Q4.
But NO!!! This year EVERY bloody integration question was harder than the stuff you get in tuts, AND they were all in Q1 and 2. 2nd order linear was the first question of Q2. Q3 was an ENTIRE 12 marks on Riemann sums. Far out. Was so pissed off. Who the hell cares about Riemann sums???? It was 2 weeks worth of work, NO one's going to remember it because it's like the introduction to integration >.< And argh...Q4 was like....wth >.< Something about soil nutrient content that decayed over time and was codependent on a critical nutrient level and the mass of crops. Argh. There were like 5 different symbols in the differential equation he gave us, AND he didn't bother mentioning which ones (except one) were constant with respect to what.

I didn't have him for my lecturer, well, my lecturer did not look like Santa ==; Unless Santa de-aged a few decades and has long blonde hair. =__=;
