one reason not to vote liberal
14 Nov 2007 09:47 pmSo, here we are, nearly one month after the offers for med have come out, and the bonded medical place contracts are still nowhere in sight.
About a week after the original offer, the faculty sent an urgent email to everyone telling them to expect the contract in the mail. They were waiting for the government to send it to them before they can forward it to us. And so we waited.
And it didn't come...and still didn't come...and still didn't come...and still hasn't come....
Until ANU gave up waiting and sent out their offers. Poor ANU candidates got their results last this year, probably because they were still waiting on the BMP contracts.
Jokingly, I said to my mum "they're probably not going to send it until after the election".
...Well, about a week ago they said "oh, we're still printing them, it's all the election's fault, you should get it next week".
Well, today they said "we'll send them out 26th November".
...Sorry man, you just lost my vote. (For those outside Australia/inside Australia and is forgetful, federal election is 24th November.)
Not that you had it in the first place, but just sayin'. You would've lost it if you had it!
Stupid governments that can't multitask and run the country while running their election campaigns. Dude, tell me there's at least a few people left inside the different departments still doing, like, work??

Date: 2007-11-14 11:24 am (UTC)Gee, all I said was "don't vote liberal", I didn't say "vote labour" =P
And I normally vote Greens anyway. "Is there any point," I hear you utter.
"Ahh, but it's all about getting your voice heard." =P
I know in the recent state election, votes towards parties that didn't get in were discounted, so at least here's my vote for not labour and not liberal. Hah!

Date: 2007-11-14 11:32 am (UTC)"Discounted"?? Really? Don't those parties then "donate" those votes to any of the two major parties of their choice? Dunno where i heard that from. LOL
