To Carmen (and anyone else interested in music):
Remember how we walked by Railway Square one day, and someone was playing on a guitar an extremely familiar tune, and neither of us knew what it was even though it was soooooooooooo frustratingly familiar?!
Well, it's Pachelbel's Canon in D.
And I wouldn't have found out if I wasn't here at 3am writing an extremely tedious presentation on Neisseria pili and listening to an anime soundtrack to help me stay awake.
Normally I'm not into electric guitar or any time of electric music, but this guy's fingering is absolutely mesmerising. The recognisable bit starts at approx 1'40".
A much less impressive accoustic guitar version if you can't stand the electric sound.
Though honestly that's probably the first time I thought an electric guitarist was amazing. It's not that I don't notice how hard their songs are normally, it's just that watching them play (and have the volume on REALLY LOW) makes me forget temporarily how eardrum-haemorrhagic their sound is >__>;; This article explains how impressive his play was, although I was mainly floored by his dexterous fingering Orz......
Still....I don't like electric instruments =__=; Electric violins.........ugh.

You can't get that sort of vibrato and harmonic on an accoustic guitar =P
Not an expert on guitars in general, but I think with electric guitars you actually get a continuous sound, which is why it's more noisy, but you can get a wonderful vibrato out of it. But that also makes it harder for this song because he would have to silence the strings after he plucks it. You should check with Mel on the technicalities XD
Okay...I have to admit I was wowed by how similar his fingering looked to violin fingering =P (Er, similar being a very loose term, before anyone jumps me)
....That comparison to YJ is just Orz ==;;;;; That's not even appealing.
Maybe I've watched too many pianists play to be wowed ==;;;;;
It's gotten to the stage where listening wows me, not watching.
