I've never had the chance to read a Terry Goodkind novel.

Well, thanks to this I am never going to read it until.....as one ex-fan so quaintly called it, I ever feel inclined to "masturbate with sandpaper".

Or perhaps for medical use as an emetic.

Possibly because it is a list of the worst of the worst, but it's coming across to me as a misogynist gratuitous deluded and under-researched piece of pseudophilosophical tirade.

And Richard is a goddamn pus(s).

Although, I am quite impressed with Richard's! Glorious! Statue! (May We Die of Laughter) and The Chicken That Is Not A Chicken (Don't You Get It?)

There is also a goat that is a goat, a very noble goat, but, indeed, nevertheless, a goat. Thus, being a noble goat, it needs rescuing when it is possessed by an evil spirit. On the other hand, pacifists are free to be slaughtered, presumably failing article #10.7 in the Code of Nobility: thou shalt incite war.

I know that writers get really attached to their characters. I do, too, but I still consider it a bit loony to include that in the dedications.

And Goodkind is one of those authors contributing to the number of students failing simple anatomy. No, the spinal cord is absolutely essential to move your arm, idiot. And you can't rip out a spine with your bare hands, without also taking half the ribcage and spilling the guts. You also can't rip out hearts with bare hands, unless you're Killua, to whom I grant special concession XD

God, I can spend hours just going through the few atrocities listed there.

I would also like to take time to shriek about one of my favourite children's books getting turned into a movie, and receiving really bad reviews.

*Shriek Commences*

*Shriek Concludes*

*Meeting adjourned*

Yes. Strike "possibly" and that sentence is ABSOLUTE TRUTH.

And be THANKFUL for all of us who have gone before and spread the word to SAVE ALL OF THE OTHER FANTASY readers from wanting to burn books.

I have written many, MANY anti-Goodkind reviews (and at some point had a whole rant up in my book review site), but I can never seem to run out of (BAD) things to say about SoT. And Richard. And Kahlan.

(Haha, you mentioned Killua in the same paragraph as Goodkind. He would not be pleased. Might possibly rip your heart out.)

And I forgot to say that he mentions "the dance of death" 100 times in each book, "I am the weapon" twice that often, and has multiple pages of Kahlan and Richard professing their moronic love nearly every chapter, before any kind of decision is made - be it who to kill, why not to kill, or what cheese would go with tonight's whine wine.
