Though the number of RPGs (no Jenny, I don't think NQ really counts) I've touched number less than the number of fingers on one hand of mine, this is still funny XDDD

I'm so tempted to write one for fantasy, starting with the A is for Prince rule ==;

Too bad I haven't touched a book in that genre in ages. Unless we include Pratchett, but he's not really fantasy. At least not the Tolkien or Eddings or Goodkind sort of fantasy.

Thanks for the link! xD I enjoyed reading through it. #14 was especially true, it's so unrealistic that a character built to like level 99 would start at 1 in the sequel. -_-

fenglet, that's hilarious! ^o^! I suspect they based a lot of those on grandia, skies of arcadia (in which case, rule 192 is clearly false; what about clara and belleza?!), and final fantasy....

..mainly because they said so at the top of the page :D! I'm glad I'm not the only one who found lulu's killer teddy bears to be a very odd choice of weapon XD (or lyude's saxaphones, or linear's frying pans, or ..or ..or!)

and yeah, "lloyd, kratos is your father" was just too predictable. +_+ BLOODY HELL, why else would kratos repeatedly ask about how lloyd's mother died? and ask "are you anna's son? hmm, take care of yourself. don't die. here are some sword techniques, in case you ever have to kill me in future"

+______+

..yet, I love rpgs XD

oooh! write one for fantasy! I'll contribute too! here's one of them:

-> dragons always guard something worth risking your life for; they will never be found outside a cave filled with grandma's secret chicken soup recipes (unless those recipes are a central plot item)

..whoa, I feel sad. I got almost every single reference in that article; and I can think of heaps more.. and I can think of multiple examples for each one, and also multiple counter examples.. and.. and.. +____+

..why didn't they mention "although it takes the player half a disc to travel between city A and city B, near the end of the game, it takes a single mouse click or button press"?

oh, and yafutoma and mizuho really seem like the same place now, even though the first one floated in the middle of the sky ^__^ hahaha, ninja cities. why do the girls with the prettiest costumes/appearance/design always end up looking japanese??

and yes! FINA! and CUPIL! and for goodness' sake, even XELHA! T____T teehee, it was hilarious that after everyone (except the main male character, who was currently evil and in the final villain's stronghold) shouted "WHOA, you're the QUEEN of the long lost city of wazn?!?!?!", kalas's reaction when he first hears xelha being addressed as "your majesty" is "so, what should we do, to prepare for [boss fight # blah]?"

+___+

*pause* hmm, I'm spamming your lj. ahahaha, I think I breathe rpgs.

and those guys who are from the country which the evil villain controls!! the sickeningly noble ones (who tend to hold 'noble' as a title, incidentally) who turn on their families and riches, and join the hero's party to rebel against the corruption that their homeland has been displaying... UUURRGH... I swear, enrique and lyude must have had the same voice actor! aaaargh, why do 'noble' male characters have to sound like stereotypically gay men?!

*pause* oh, I'm doing it again. *cough*

How about the "Lyre or flute rule": The musically talented main character can only ever play the lyre and flute, often with earth-shattering results (may be literal in some cases). Your main character plays the drums? Simply not cool.

lol! yup, and if the musically talented main character is female, she has a voice like an angel (unless angels are evil. in which case, "she has a very nice voice"), and will sing mysteriously in the moonlight. (during the day, she's too busy fainting over the main male character..)

LMAO, good work...that was heaps entertaining...

IDKFA is acually referenced in RPG games?
Only place I came across it was on a FPS game "Doom" lol

Something like I dont kill for ammo or something...gives all guns + ammo XD

Anywho....OMEGA weapon > All
