LJ changed its update page format again? (Something evil always happens when it does...like entries being fed to Om just after pressing the button.)

Uh. Merry Christmas?

.........LOL.

I was going to draw something else (yes, for the holiday season), but I got lazy.

I don't even like Sakura. I didn't even like Sakura from Cardcaptor Sakura, and she was a whole fathom better than this Sakura from Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicle. (As an aside, I also adored the adorable Syaoran in CCS but detested ...the first Syaoran we meet in TRC)

The pixelatedness is what happens when one thought that she could cut down file size by saving as GIF but instead did the opposite, and had to save from GIF to JPEG because she was too lazy to save the original file. And she was too lazy to scan it again.

I'm not particularly fond of drawing fanart, particularly as CLAMP happens to be fairly snarky about fan stuff based on their art, like Anne Rice for example. The hands were a shaky attempt to emulate Tsubasa's long-limbed-ness and ends up neither here nor there.

I want to draw Fai~~~ But I'm 120% sure I'll never be happy with it.

Wah it's pretty!! I really like the hands, hands are so freaking difficult to draw unmongulated, and you did it very well.

I did NOT like TRC Syaoran in early TRC either. Plus I can't stand the voice they decided to give him in the anime. I'm like "What happened to the super-cool CCS Syaoran?! He became a...wuss..."

Touya, however, is sheer awesomeness in whatever universe, dimension, or outfit. Damn the man.

That's a pretty neat line drawing. Any chance you'd color it? :D:D:D

Happy holidays!!!

If you're referring to the soulless look....then that was kinda meant to be (sorta).

Unless you're referring to something else? Oo; I have to admit with pencil sketches I tend to go lazy for the eyes. Instead of shadowing the entire eye, I usually just do the pupil and the dark shadows (where the lids fall over the eye). There's usually a "chunk" missing out of the bottom of the pupil because that's where the highlight falls, but it's not terribly obvious if I don't shade the rest of the eye in.

On the other hand, even if I did shade it in, it usually disappears once I turn up the contrast after scanning.

Unless you're referring to another problem? Oo;

I guess soulless would be the word. Fits the facial expression and all. But why would you want it to be that?

and um...shouldnt the shades in the pupils be a little lighter? (When I pictured the "dead" look in eyes the pupils tend to look a little more grey)
