what do they think homosexuality is? a contagious disease? if they were only thinking "people are having sex in public. that's inappropriate and children especially should not see that", then they wouldn't have used the phrase "put at risk" :/

o_o in first year I overheard some lecturers joking about not going to isolated parts of fisher because students had sex there..

Actually I think the comment is appropriate.

men running out of the toilet alerting employees about homosexual activity, while others had complained about being propositioned.

In this case, if a child went in there alone, I'd be very worried about whether the men would be lewd enough to offer sex to someone who's incapable of either understanding or refusing.

If it was a communal bath, for example, and heterosexual couples were meeting up for casual sex, I'd be apprehensive about sending my young daughter to a place like that. It's the same thing. There is that risk that the child would be offered sex by unscrupulous people.
