1. Just before the MP3 rotation site rated a song 100/10 doesn't mean that it actually sounds nice ==;; While I like Fly to the Sky very much...couldn't stand the Yellow Butterfly song. Deleted before listened halfway...
2. Am still trying to figure what "[a song is] just the epiphany of AWESOME" means.
3. Remember the good old days when one fled to Anime Turnpike whenever one needed anime and manga information? ...The site is so ugly now *cries* I thought it was some pop-up ad window thanks to all the ugly flashing red ads and half-naked girls on the front page.....Ugh. It's so frigging hard to find anything as well, which defeats the entire point of its existence. The search function is utterly retarded.
4. Nightmare actually existed before Death Note *gets killed by their fans*
5. One can be "university trained" in art and draw nicely but still have an atrocious sense of colour and space when it comes to web-design ==;;;;;; (Personally I'm not a big fan of Sailor-Moon-style art either, but at least they aren't badly drawn.) And I protest against abstract art. I also protest against right-click "protection" ==;
6. OpenCanvas 4 is cool XD The brushes are cool~!

Edit (03/12/06): Since original posting, the webmistress of the original site in #5 has changed her layout, to which the original complaints no longer apply XD Do check out the new prettier site~

3. yes. and I know! urgh, it's awful now :(

5. =__= oh dear, I wouldn't call that art, so I won't protest against abstract art ;)

No? I don't think so? LOL...I must have seen your site on a webring or something, one of the few whose link worked.

I was just surprised that someone with such nice artwork had a website that was jarringly...not as aesthetic. The text is sometimes really hard to read against the gradient blue background. Your new blog looks really pretty though ^^

And the right-click protection thing...I wasn't trying to steal your artwork. I think I was having server problems on the day and some of the pictures wouldn't load, so I tried to right-click to load picture, but the javascript alert came up. I only complained because...it was a trick that's more annoying than protective, since I went to view source and got the image url anyway.

Wow, how did you find this post? LOL.

Just checking... I had no idea what I had done to some kid in Australia to make them so venomous.

Yeah, my web design skills suck. HOWEVER, I think it's pretty at least.... I have yet to take the required digital media class in my undergrad program.
The javascript is helpful against low-level morons that don't know how to view the source code.

The link to your post popped up on the hit tracking software I use.

Hehe, sorry about the viciousness, although I still stand by my original comment =P Maybe I'm just partial against the plastic wrap filter >_> (I'm definitely partial against popup javascripts in general, so, uh, there's one source of snarkiness.)

I think it would be rather bitchy of me if I targeted your site solely because you did anything to me =P The original post only commented on the negative points because that was only thing I wanted to snark about, but your site had excellent organisation of the links, and the navigation was unconfusing. And the art itself was really nice, it's kind of rare to see hand-coloured anime pictures these days online. Copic markers? They cost so much over here T_T

Ah, I have a feeling I may in fact be older than you...or at least around the same age. You're in your final year of uni/college right? Are you doing an arts degree or a design degree?

Thanks for replying though, since it's pretty obvious you were offended by my original tactless criticism, and I appreciate that you took the time to reply to my reply.

I was born in '85, you're a little bit younger. I'm working on my teaching certification right now, but anyways....

No problems. You gave me the motivation to re-work the site design.

Thanks and have a great day!

Oooh~ It looks very pretty now ^^ The colour scheme is really pretty, and surprisingly, for the amount of background graphics, it doesn't take long to load (though I shouldn't be saying this on a cable connection).

I look forward to your site after you've done your class~ I'll think you'll find that Dreamweaver will yield much nicer results than FrontPage...if you're using it at all. And once you're not thrown by the coding, the design comes much easier.

Just a suggestion about the right-click disable, to make it really work (at least for the majority of web users...there are always those few hackers out there) there are two sneaky ways:
1) Load your picture in a frame. Then, encode in the picture page two Javascripts. The first is the right-click disable. The second one "locks" the frame page, so that if anyone tries to load that page by itself, it enforces the framing by redirecting to the frame page. That way you can't load the page by itself and view source, and you can't right click to view source.
2) Load your picture page in a pop-up window. Again, this is a javascript and easily obtainable on script sites. Specify that the menu bar isn't shown. Include the right-click disable as well. This way you can't right-click, and you can't view source via the menu bar.

Obviously no method is totally foolproof (since there's always the handy "Print Screen"), but the above are simple ways to deter most people from saving graphics ^^
