kiniro no corda makes me cry ;__;

After months of listening to beginners playing their crispy Made-in-China trumpets, eliciting blares that has the tonal quality of a serenading goat - that also happens to be tone deaf and suffering from pneumonia - Hihara Kazuki's trumpet Gavotte made tears spring to my eyes.
It's so beautiful, damn it T___T
And the grace notes (or whatever) are done so beautifully too, damn it T___T
He managed to make such a simple piece sound so pretty T__T
Am also really impressed because they actually cast two different violinists for the two different violin-playing-roles. And the two different renditions of Ave Maria actually sounded different (even though the song and speed was exactly the same)! Was shocked!
...Maybe it was just my imagination ==;;; But I like the girl's version better.
The anime moves so slow though ==;;;; But even more disturbingly, it's moving faster than the manga ==;;;;;;

I'm no expert on classical music ^^; But they called the song she played at the end "Farewell Song", so I guess it's meant to be sad. Even though she said the rendition was supposed to signify "a new beginning" and "not farewell".
The manga is pretty but very slow too ^^ Pleased to meet you too~

I meant episode 5-______- I was watching episode 5 sighs. And I found the song, Chopin's Etude In EXDDDD Gotta wait for the ost to actually hear the violin+piano version of it, very pretty!*____*♥
I zoomed the manga yesterday til volume 4, and apparantly, that's itO_o no update..
Don't mind if I add you ne? It seems we shares lots of the same interests in animanga at leastXDD

Date: 2006-11-02 06:41 am (UTC)Bakumatsu is squee~~~ I don't know anyone else watching it. I have to admit even after 3 episodes I still have ab-so-lute-ly zilch idea what the series is about. But the animation is so fluid it almost rivals Death Note (but is instead cooler because it has more action. DN is just dramatic-wannabe =P). And I love Namikawa Daisuke *__* (Even though he hasn't said more than 5 lines so far.)
Isn't Saiunkoku cool? XDD
And you watch them off Chinese subs too XDD

Chinese subs are SUPER fast, for some series at least, 猪猪字幕 is freakingishly fast in subbing, mengo for ranting~♥

Date: 2006-12-02 02:29 pm (UTC)they seriously cast different violinists? that's great haha. (omg you mean they actually announce that / put that in the credits? thats really cool.) although i'm kinda depressed because hino caught on so quickly (i'm still at episode 3 eeks) while i'm still struggling, i think its really cool how when she first tried the gavotte piece, the sound was pretty amateurish. there was even a slight squeakish sound near the end, haha! i like this anime a lot yay. i think hihara played the gavotte piece really well too!
(haha maybe tsukimori's ave maria had too much vibrato.)

Date: 2006-12-03 03:19 am (UTC)Yes! They have who played which instrument part in the credits. Tsukimori's violinist also played.....er, the glasses guy. When he was in the park.
Yeah, I really like the subtle changes in the music ^^ I do like the music but I think the storyline is a bit too slow and shoujo for my tastes.
If you like Kiniro no Corda, I highly recommend the Japanese drama Nodame Cantabile (there will be an anime version coming out in January). Unlike Kiniro, which is about solo performers, Nodame focuses more on orchestra. The plot is faster and more...er, to use the Chinese otaku way of describing things...more "kuso".... (rather literally, more "wtf")

Date: 2006-12-03 05:21 am (UTC)haha i like the music too. but i agree that the storyline is too 'shoujo'.
haha i knew it! the glasses guy. for some reason. it kinda sounded similar. i guess its the crazy vibratos. heh heh.
thanks for referring me to nodame cantabile! i think i'll like it a lot. ^^

Date: 2006-12-04 02:55 pm (UTC)its really cool to see a drama about orchestra playing, and chiaki has amusing expressions. it just gets really dumb when he starts getting his flight phobia reactions. heh. cant wait to see more! although i have to watch it with chinese subs because i cant find it witn english subs. :( and thats bad because sometimes the subs pass by so quickly i have to rewind and watch again. ^^" its worse if its in the middle of a piece.
