Because we kept getting trojan attacks, I searched up the file that Norton quarantined, and apparently it was because of a problem in something called Microsoft Data Access something or other, and Microsoft had released a patch for it.
I downloaded the patch, expecting everything would be okay.
Except now everything keeps crashing!!! Internet Explorer has a habit of closing itself unannounced whenever I click on a link. Mozilla at least has the courtesy to tell me that it has generated errors, but it closes nonetheless. Bitcomet inundates me with run error messages and disappears. Explorer (yes, Windows) would randomly tells me it's crashing when it's not even bloody open. MSN messenger decides it doesn't like being nigelated and joins the dump bin. The only thing that dogs on is Real Player, which tells me it is about to crash but continues running regardless. Even Clubbox dies! What kind of Trojan/stupid patch would attack a Korean download program it has probably never even heard of?!
I've scanned my computer about 5 times each with Norton and Ad-aware, except all they find are tracking cookies, as they do every other time. I've gone and uninstalled the stupid patch, but IT'S STILL HAPPENING.
(The only commonality seems to be that all these programs need to access the internet.)
On the subject of stupidity, I can't decide who is more stupid, the bunch of teenagers who try to sneak onto private property in the middle of the night or the guy who decides the first reaction would be to fire his rifle without warning.
Edit: And another kind of stupidity. I have no sympathy for parents who not only condone the crime of their children, but try to cover it up by committing another equally disgusting crime. And is it just me or does he sound like he's now blaming his son for "pushing" him for the murder? WTF.
On the subject of rape, are there more rape cases these days or is it because victims are now more willing to step out with the story? ...Most likely a combination of both.

Check off auto-update options of all internet programs.
Check your ctrl-alt-del to look for suspicious files, some trojans are non-detectable.
