I also think that the fact that Depp has always had unpredictable choice in roles is tribute to his self-assurance in a stressful industry.
(There was one movie of his that I've always wanted to see...mainly because his role reminded me so much of Count Cain XDDD Alright. Depp is cool in period films. The only reason I don't want to watch it that desperately is because it sounded stupid. I mean...a prostitute who is a virgin?! What the heck did you become a prostitute for?! Who would pay you?!)
