On our pharmacology student discussion boards concerning a lost quiz paper:

hi, i picked up someone elses lecture test when i collected mine- just in case the person
is looking for it, the name on it was [name omitted] and you failed.

...

Several posts later (consisting mostly of people..umm...complimenting her for her tact)

hi [name omitted 2]! just ur luck, i accidentally picked up ur test and im really sorry to break it to u, BUT... you failed as well. (- not from the person who lost their test)

It might be karma, but it's also primary school grade meanness ==;; On all ends...

Ugh that IS mean. Why do they need to announce someone's grades all over the board!? They could have just arranged to contact each other privately. What jerks. >:(

Haha...the first was a girl.

Actually when I saw the first post I thought it was someone's really pathetic attempt at a joke (maybe the person was their friend and they knew that the person wouldn't mind). But either way it's really slack.

Especially since everyone already knew what grade they had gotten (because it was put up on webCT about a week ago), and the girl hadn't put down any contact details.

The opening situation sounds more sinister than just a coincidental "accidentally picking up someone's paper". Something tells me these parties are lifelong enemies... I mean, what are the chances of picking up someone else's paper? You've gotta be pretty clumsy or absent minded XD.

As for the second person... how did s/he get the first person's paper if the person said she picked it up already? LOL.

Haha. That's a horrible thing to have to happen to you, though. I always worry about my instructors leaving our exam folders right outside their doors for everyone to rifle through. I'm totally insecure about my grades.

I have a similar experience: someone STOLE my biochem class card/ final grade last semester. I wanted to cry. I was going to have it blown up, laminated, framed, and hung in the front hall, damn it.

I still haven't found it ;_;

To be honest, I'm not sure how the mix-up occurred. You had to go into the lecturer's office and speak to him to pick up the paper. He might have remembered the wrong name or something.

Wow, you were going to frame it?

(Anything with my marks on it goes straight into the incinerator. We don't have an incinerator. Alas.)

Can't you get the school/uni to print you out another copy? Oo;

LOL, I was exaggerating about the framing and laminating thing. They gave me a certificate that said "Daimira got a grade of blah blah blah in advanced blah di blah." But it's not the same as a class card. You only get one of those ;_;
