At least until the 3rd season comes out T___T
It's not actually confirmed yet, by the way, just that the company has given the go-ahead for it (i.e. much like how WB have gotten the rights to all the Narnia books but not necessarily meaning that they will be making a movie out of all of them).
Anyway, finally watched the WHOLE thing, though not in one go >_>;
Something about their voices bother me. The first time I heard Kira I thought it was a girl >__>;;; Must be my loudspeaker.
The sequence of events have changed a little (i.e. editing's a bit different) but the result is still exactly the same - Impulse got owned, Destiny got owned, Legend got owned, Requiem got owned, Dullindal got owned. The fight sequences were longer though, with more credit due Rey and not, unfortunately, due Shinn. The edit job made it a bit more gripping than the original version, the destruction of Requiem actually worth being part of the climax.
One of the 3 scary DOM Troopers sustained a bit of damage, and Dearka also got hit by a random missile, but no new casualties.
They've added Athrun in the final confrontation, which was redundant except to appease yaoi fangirls and people who picked about the line, "Captain Gladys", originally uttered by Kira and by the sort of logic Susan Pevensie functions by, didn't make sense. I.e. they've made it Athrun who said, "Captain Gladys" this time.
They've also made it more obvious what it was about Kira's speech that affected Rey. Kira and Athrun watched Rey with a sort of disdainful pity that was a little...depressing, but I guess there were nothing else they could have felt.
Another thing they've changed in the final sequence was after Talia urges them to leave, they stopped uncertainly in front of Rey, and it was then that Talia called Rey over. With a sort of confused understanding (ech, oxymoronism), Kira and Athrun left the three of them.
This version fit better with their characters than the original of Kira just leaving Rey by himself and Talia having to call him over afterwards.
The cutest line of the whole thing (indeed, possibly of the entire Destiny series) must be when Kira tells Athrun and Archangel to head to Requiem, and adds in an uncertain voice, "Umm...this is an order."
LOL. That's the Kira we loved in GSeed ^^v
