gakuen alice chapter 106 summary

mayoraaseiWoohoo~ Actual scanlations came out same time as I finished exams~
- Yukihira calls out to Yuka, who sees her reflection in his eyes. She feels like she's "muddying his brightness" and flees.
- A bunch of kids greet Yukihira but he catches sight of Luna smiling and talking with a few girls. She smiles at him, but he notices the bruise marks on the girls' necks.
- Yuka starts crying in happiness because it surprised her that Yukihira still called her in the same voice as before.
- Yuka's mission is to steal the Alices of people on their deathbeds. Some of them think that it equates to stealing their soul. Interesting question - people whose Alices are "unending" but every time they use it, their life shortens - does that mean if their Alices are stolen, they die? Ahem, Natsume?
- The PSPrinicipal has shelves and shelves of clear jars of Alice stones. God it's freaky. I didn't even know there were that many Alices in that world. Doesn't the entire Alice school only have a few hundred people in all three levels combined?
- PSPrincipal is being a perv again. "This room is mine, you are mine, no matter what I do I'm not letting you go" as he strokes her hair.....SEKUHARA! Yuka is disgusted by him, but also by herself and her Alice.
- Luna tells Yukihira that Yuka's mission is quite well-known in middle school so no one wants to even go near her. I'd just like to say that Luna's got the bitchy face back now, so none of that sweet Nobara-like look she had before.
- She chatters on about how she was one of the victims and Yukihira interrupts and asks "Aren't you guys friends?" Luna answers that she's made others, but Yukihira points out that those girls are controlled and wonder if that's friends.
- Luna says that the first one who stopped being friends is Yuka. That she always knew - that Yuka stayed with her only because she was asked to look after Luna, but even so, Luna was afraid of loneliness and held on to that friendship. She feels that Yuka never wanted to be her friend anyway (to be honest I got a bit sympathetic for her here...)
- Luna blames Yuka for taking PSPrincipal's attention away - the first and only person to ever acknowledge her Alice, and blames Yuka for pushing her into the pits of loneliness again. My sympathy is retracted.
- She then goes on about how she just did the same thing to Yuka, took away everything Yuka had, just as she believed Yuka had done to her.
- Yukihira totally ELBOWS her in the HEAD. WOOT!
- He tells her that she's saying and doing silly things (love his sad/sympathetic expression here - this could have been sooo patronising). He says her current situation is completely reflective of the phrase "there's a fine line between love and hate" <-- liberally translated.
- He tells her that this is the first fight the two of them have had, and since they don't know how to deal with it, this is the result. He tells her that she needs to learn a way to move forward with the conflict and pats her head.
- Then he says "Alright, let's fix up that guy" and runs off.
- He kicks down the door to PSPrincipal's office, where he sees PSPrincipal holding onto Yuka's arm.
- His dramatic entry lines are "Yo, long time no see...even though we met just then" LOL You're such an DORK XD
- Then he says "Principal, please remove your dirty hand from my student". Ah Yukihira ♥ He looks like Naru here...I blame her art.
- Jinno tells random guy to contact the HSPrincipal as Yukihira throws a bunch of papers and CDs at the PSPrincipal. He says that these are the data he collected through various means, and if PSP wants him to stay out of it, then PSP needs to keep his hand out of the special class too. (*A: They had such easy access to CDs 20 years ago? *B:Where did Yukihira carry all that stuff?! Doraemon?)
- Yukihira then pulls Yuka towards him. PSP coldly says that Yukihira is stupid and "You won't live very long". Yukihira snarks that "Depends who you compare with. As long as it's longer than you" before running off with Yuka.
- Jinno looks really frustrated/worried about this turn of events, and so does Luna.
- Yuka asks why he's doing this, and thinks to herself that she doesn't want to dirty him with her hands.
- Yukihira says that Yuka used her steal Alice when she was trying to save Luna from her self-perpetuating misanthrope, and it was an Alice made to protect people.
- Yukihira says that's what he always wanted to protect, and inevitably, Yuka falls deeper in love!
Aww, I'm liking Jinno more and more now. Our main characters don't make an appearance at all. Not one!! And where's out chubby little Naru-chan? XD
Yuka is so different to my impressions of her from previous flashbacks (linked to Mikan). She was really quite aggressive against the people who bullied her for her Alice, and laughing openly with Yukihira.
These days she walks around wearing such a kurushii expression =__=; And as Yukihira says in the last few pages - gee, you really cry a lot.
I like the Sensei/Yuka relationship now that we know more about it and Yukihira really is quite a likeable guy, but I'm kind of want this to be finished quickly too so we can get to 1) Mean-spirited Narumi =D and 2) TSUBASA GAAAH!!
Chapter 107 will be out 19th December after a break.
PS: Unrelated really, but I cbb doing a G00 summary this week. I mean the only highlight was Tieria's crossdressing complete with voice-change. God she/he/it was gorgeous. More lightsabre...I mean, beam sword slashing next time please!
