terrorist attacks and explosions
7 Dec 2008 05:41 pmUh, I really don't think this dream was due to reading too much about the Mumbai terrorist attacks, because I haven't, but after I woke up I couldn't help but see some similarity.
The dream starts off with some sort of news report, with the Chinese government claiming that the Taiwanese government/police stormed a college/university and killed 73 (mainland) Chinese students. Yes...I'm sorry that it was so specific (with country names and victim numbers)
Then it sort of cut to the actual event. The building was a wide cream-white block of about 20-30 storeys, with dark-tinted windows, located next to a highway. I can't remember what began the event (or if I ever found out in the dream), but the street went into lockdown (so there was no one on the street) and the building was frozen in a blackout.
It wasn't clear who the actual perpetrators of this whole thing was, but it seemed that it wasn't the Taiwanese officials. People who were inside the buildings were given instructions that I can't remember. Some of them tried to escape out the main entrance, but were shot before they could leave the building.
Helicopters were sent to pick up the stranded people from the roof, but at some point someone started questioning things, and the helicopters left? This was the important bit, but I'm afraid I cannot remember ==;;;;
It ended with the entire building being demolished (with people still inside) in some sort of enormous explosion, the shockwave of which was practically visible (it was possible to see the space/other buildings bending as it went through), and you had to be a few kilometres from the site to be safe.
