the long goodbye
1 Jul 2008 10:31 pmYes, I know I used that title before.......in fact, only 2 posts ago XD But this suits the post much better LOL
Ylhora sounds like such a girl's name ==;
I know, I know, but the dragon's kind of an "it", even though it's (according to legends) a "he".
This is probably the picture that I spent the longest time on just on the pencil stage ~~; I started it the same time I finished a picture dated late April...and I was finally finished yesterday, after sacrificing 2 erasers and one stick of lead and lots of electricity (lightbulb).
I'm still not happy with it =0= But here it is...
( Cut for size )
It was A3. You can almost see the seam LOL
It must be just before Ylhora bore the rest of the family away. I like Neillan more than I expected (yes, that's weird, shuddup).
It's pretty obvious that Vivant's fate lies on converging paths, but I think Vivant would always consider himself more fortunate.
Not just because he has the freedom to mingle for those waiting years, but because he really respected Neillan, and probably remembered him as example.
Neillan's neither a perfect man nor a perfect prince, but when the time calls he would always trade himself for his kingdom. That's a principle that Vivant would always try to hold on to.
Ithink hope this is the last time I'll draw Neillan (thank god!) and Ylhora (THANK GOD!) so here's a bigger picture of them together:
( Cut for size again )
Awwwwwwwwwwwww.
LOL.
Scribbled at the top:
Even forever's only a matter of time
There will come a day when the curtain finally falls
And you will no longer have to playact the perfect prince
For Neillan Thorechi =)
