....Or rather, a long long time to say goodbye.

After 54 volumes and 558 chapters, Inuyasha will FINALLY draw to a close =0=

I remember first reading this in year 10, when it was up to like, volume 15 or something!

I'm so glad I gave up after 20 volumes =___=

I liked Inuyasha more than Ranma, and Kagome more than Akane, but that's not really saying much.

Then again, I think I liked Inuyasha's EARS more than anything else XD

In other news, Shinjo Mayu is actually kinda cute! Her face that is. Can't stand her manga, most of which are heavily smutty =__=||| (Looking at her tastes in music and movies, they're so blatantly macho that I'm shocked her manga isn't less...icky)

I guess her blog just proves the swaying power of a name like Watase Yuu - who, though from the same magazine, has taken several long breaks over the past few years. I doubt they'd dare threaten to stop publishing Zettai Kareshi or Fushigi Yuugi!!

I think Sho-Comi probably the worst when compared with other biweekly shoujo mags when it comes to smut. At least, most of the smutty shoujo series I've seen come from Sho-Comi, rather than, say, Margaret or LALA or Hana to Yume. Asuka's got a bit of a supernatural slant, or maybe I'm just saying that because of X and DNAngel, but anyway...! I hope Shinjo-sensei's works take a less smutty turn now that she's not on the Sho-Comi mag any more.

Manga-drawing is really probably one of those jobs you do for the love of it. If the "freewords" (little columns authors write in their books) are to be believed, they go through some atrocious hours every time when it approaches deadlines (either than or they publish scraps like Togashi does for Hunter x Hunter ==;). Strife with the editorial department can often lead to manga getting cancelled (e.g. Penguin Brothers by Shiina Ayumi) or being dragged out longer than the author intended it to be (e.g. Yuu Yuu Hakusho by Togashi Yoshihiro).

After staring enviously at shrinkwrapped volumes of Kuroshitsuji, a scanlator group finally picked it up!! As I had thought, it reminded me strongly of Count Cain. Set in Victorian England, a young, insolent count with a hidden angsty past, and a "loyal" skillful butler.

And the art is drooool GORGEOUS *________________*

And the author's only 2 years older than me? =O Her action scenes, the layout of her panels, the use of shading and pacing for effect are all at a very sophisticated level, not what you might expect for an artist who debuted not that long ago. I mean...other artists 10 years older still draw crappier!

At the moment I'm not sure I can comment much on the story. It'd be awesome if it can match up to the art.

Funny how when I read that she used to draw BL my reaction was "aaaahhhh.....no wonder".

Shuddup. CLAMP and Yuki Kaori did various forms of BL too.

Eyecandy. Worth checking out *__*
