...so much for fashion
10 May 2006 05:30 pmLast last Wednesday, or some equally vaguely recent time, I was walking towards uni from Redfern station. If you have ever walked to Sydney uni from Redfern, you'll know there are a LOT of stairs. Going up.
I happened to look up, as one does, going up the stairs, and was greeted with the sight of a girl's skirt being too short to cover her butt.
No, seriously. It was a miniskirt, and to make her legs look longer than they were, she pulled it high up her waist, which is a stupid thing to do in any case with a miniskirt.
At least her undies were white, and not some hideously embarrassing pattern or colour >_>;
But omg, her BUTT was visible, W.T.F. It was visible even after we got off the stairs onto level ground. And she had all those bloody stairs to walk up at Wentworth (which she DID walk up, because I saw her again at Carslaw).
I hope that wasn't one of the people on my F-List by the way. If it was, you can get a complimentary kick.
And then, the very same afternoon, I saw another girl in Newtown who was wearing one of those shawl things, fastened at the waist with a belt. The shawl wasn't the problem: the problem was the only thing she wore under the shawl was a black bra. And the shawl hung fully open down her middle to her waist.......so the bra was almost fully visible.
And she was flat chested =__=
And this happened the day after I was reading some Honi Soit bitching about body images and women's clothing. Or maybe it was The Bull, in which case it was more likely to be a thoughtfully written article and not a bitch session.
