mayoraasei: There is no such thing as coincidence (Athrun)
Short update on GSD-46: Mia redeems her role completely by jumping in front of Lacus and taking the bullet for her. She dies in Lacus' arms, sending Meyrin, Lacus and Athrun into tears. The expression on Lacus' face at the end was interesting - she looked like she has been pushed to the end of her patience and is now genuinely angry. It's hard to interpret Kira's expression (he didn't cry, and a few people have commented on that since he cried a lot in GS but personally I think it would be weird if he cried here), but I think there's a hint of anger there as well, since Mia was just about to take his hand before she jumped in front of Lacus. He probably never had a good impression of Mia, but is probably now turned to anger that those who used her now ended up disposing of her because she was no longer useful - reminded of his own precarious employment by the EA in GS perhaps? The episode itself is fairly slow, though a nice respite from the hectic warfare.

Will rant more later this week....got so many assessments on and variously due ==;
