mayoraasei: There is no such thing as coincidence (Furuba Yuki Chu)
I have never seen Australia this ugly.

Do you really think acting like savages and handing the Indonesian embassies your home-made weapon of mass destruction is going to make the Indonesian jury feel more amiable towards a - as of now - decided criminal and release her from her sentence?

Just as those who have not heard all the evidence shouldn't judge her guilty, they have no right to decide her innocence either.

Stop whinging about the corrupt system in the Indonesian judiciaries when we have paedophiles amongst our own judges and policemen. Either way, it's breaking a trust.

People who are withdrawing their money from the tsunami appeal should bloody well grow up. What did you donate money for? Because everyone else donated? So you could show off to your friends that you "did something for a good cause"? So that you have the right to expect Indonesia to turn around and lick Australia's shoes, to play to our tune and automatically remove any guilt from an Australian in their territory, whatever the said Australian had committed?

We don't know Corby's innocent and we have no right to act like she is. Think about it, the judges were already considering relations with Australia when they gave her the sentence. It could have been the firing squad, remember? And smuggling 4.1 kg of marijuana is no petty crime.

Australia has really disappointed me in the past week. Perhaps it's about time I realised we were such a country - fawning at the heels of countries like America and China, then turning around to flaunt our unjustified sense of superiority at Indonesia.
