indiana jones and the plastic skull

mayoraaseiOkay, so it was meant to be the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull, but seriously.........that thing looked plastic. It looked like a dental plate, which is absolutely eww.
So we sat through 20 minutes of silly looking trailers that started with Narnia =D Prince Caspian still pisses me off. Why does he look twice as old as Lucy and like 10 years older than Peter?? And he's meant to be golden haired =__= I know it's a minor peeve, but nonetheless. He's meant to be like somewhere between Edmund and Peter in age....gaah. I liked Caspian, he was so clumsily likeable. Damn it.
The trailers for You don't mess with Zohan and Get Smart looked funny.
Anyhow, here I am, trying to make myself type out some sort of review, and I realise that my sentiments towards IJ4 is almost exactly identical to what they were when I finished Casino Royale, although perhaps a little fonder.
The set was awesome. Okay, apart from the eponymous skull - the temples, the mechanisms that moved everything, the golden thrones etc. And now I've got the Indy tune stuck in my head =__=||||
Harrison Ford is meant to be 64, though apart from his greying hair and slightly portly appearance, I doubt you'd tell >_>; I read somewhere that Shia LaBeouf is meant to be, like, the next big thing, not that his two recent blockbuster roles required any real acting...but he takes to his role with likeable and unpretentious ease. Not that anyone's role required much acting, though it was still fun to see Cate Blanchett biting into her "dubberwhews" (or was it "wubberwhews"?) while marching around in a creepy wig. And I thought the Dean looked familiar! Turns out he's Bridget Jones's daddy dear XDD
It was a fun romp, although a bit all over the place at times in the beginning, probably just to bump up the action and CG sequences involved.
Still, not many action films these days end with holy matrimony, eh?? =P
