a day in my life...
5 Oct 2004 09:41 pmWe almost ran over a cat today. We were driving on a dark street, and the cat was just taking a nice stroll, right towards our wheels. I think we avoided it, can't be sure. I said to my dad, "It's okay, cats have nine lives," he didn't look quite so pleased...LOL.
I remember Black Friday in August, I saw a black cat in the neighbourhood. I've never seen that cat since, and never seen that cat before, but I don't think that means anything because this area has a cat population density equal to that of humans ==; But the cat had such beautiful, lush fur, and it was sitting very regally in a...rather drab looking backyard. It was staring at me with these brilliant green eyes...they weren't the light, grassy green that cats usually have, it was a darker, more foresty green.
Oh, and if you were wondering, nothing bad happened that day. At least not on the rank of...oh, a tree falling through the roof or anything ^^
We dissected a sheep shank today! Well, I dissected a sheep shank today. It was fun. I think I've eaten too much chicken drumsticks.
I saw two magpies today. One of them was squawking persistently at the other one, who kept edging surreptitiously away. I wondered if they're married.
There were two guys in chemistry today. They sat in the front row and listened to music. Occasionally they would speak to each other, in rather loud voices. Then one of their mobiles rang, and he picked up and started talking...at a voice just about as loud as the lecturer's. And why is there always a girl in our lecture who laughs really loudly at various points throughout the hour??
Don't even get me started on the bunch of fobs who sit up in the maths lecture theatre and babble mandarin like it's their God-given right to talk louder than the lecturer.
