*sniggers*

Today's article of the day on Wikipedia is Actuaries and it sounds like some phrenetic commerce student who went crazy with referencing.
But that's not the snigger. This is.
That's got to be the most classic picture I've seen on Wikipedia. "The symbolic slash, used to separate the two names in a romantic pairing, from which slash fiction takes its name." OTZ What kind of caption is that?
More recently, some slash authors have begun to write slash fiction that contains transgendered themes and transsexual or intersex characters.
This has got to include all the MPregs ==;;;;;
The pseudo-Japanese terms yaoi for male/male stories and yuri for female/female stories are also used.
==;;; What on earth is "pseudo-Japanese"?
Other slash relationships believed to be evident, if hidden, in different media may be found in Harry Potter, Smallville, Friends, House M.D. and various Japanese anime.
*THUD* I don't see "evident" in Harry Potter. And alright...so Wilson and House are kinda chummy but...evident? ==;;;
Real person slash involves taking the celebrity's public image and creating slash stories with them.
Har har. *Looks at a certain person on her Flist*
In recent years, the widespread availability of imaging software such as Adobe Photoshop has allowed slash artists to manipulate photographs of their subjects...
Har har har. *Looks at that person again*
And I can't believe how long the yaoi entry is ==;;;;
They even explain seme and uke...but not the numbers. *Looks at a certain person again*
...Should stop wasting time.
Oh, and because every second person on this LJ and their cat has done this meme:
My Personality
You are neither a subdued loner nor a jovial chatterbox. You enjoy time with others but also time alone. You are calm and composed, reacting well to situations that most people would describe as stressful. A desire for tradition does not prevent you from trying new things. Your thinking is neither simple nor complex. To others you appear to be a well-educated person but not an intellectual. You have some concern with others' needs, and are generally pleasant, sympathetic, and cooperative. You set clear goals and pursue them with determination. People regard you as reliable and hard-working.
...I'm miffed by the "you appear to be well-educated but not intellectual" ==;;; In other words "you are a nerd who knows how to regurgitate what you're fed, but you have no brain". And I am so not reliable and hardworking v___v Hmph.
