Aaaaaaaaarrrrrrrggggggggghhhhhh damn Taiwanese translation taking so bloody long!!! (I say this every time)

Went to Kino and bought the newest LALA. Managed to understand about 30% of what I was reading ~~;;;;;

Ichiru is actually Zero's younger twin brother. I swear he looks older!! He was a sickly child, and acted unhealthily smitten with Zero. They look more alike than the Host Club twins!!! Argh!!! I can't tell which one's which when they're young. Anyway, Zero's master was leaving, and as the twins stood outside, they saw Shizuka weeping under a sakura tree.

That night, Ichiru got sick and Zero had to comfort him. After Zero fell asleep, Ichiru left his bed and went downstairs. This next bit I didn't understand very clearly and I'm not too keen on making inaccurate guesses since it is what motivated Ichiru to do whatever he did - Ichiru overheard his parents discussing the two of them, praising Zero for his "born Hunter"-ness, and then saying that Ichiru was "as expected, useless".

Ichiru ran outside and met Shizuka, who seemed to see that there was something bothering him. He seems to open his mouth to speak. Later, the twins hear that they're moving again, because they didn't want vampires to know where they were based. Ichiru snapped that there are vampires that weren't bad and marches out. Zero chased after him and remarked that he's strange recently, and he flung Zero off, demanding, "Zero, 'what' am I?"

As Zero went out to find Ichiru when he didn't return, Shizuka grabbed hold of him, "I am going to give you a sinful destiny." As his parents walked out onto the porch, Shizuka said, still weeping, "It's you who got rid of that man," and bit down on Zero's neck. The next we see is Zero's parents dead. As Zero was about to faint, he saw Ichiru in the doorway and shouted for him to run (note that the end scene was inside, while previously they were outside...). Still barely clinging to Shizuka, he threatened, "If you touch Ichiru, I will kill you..."

As Zero lost consciousness, Ichiru - okay, I think the expression should be smiled, but it looked more resigned than satisfied - but let's just assume Hino-sensei wanted to convey "smiled". Ichiru (in the present) finishes the narration with "the growing darkness within me".

Shizuka has taken a walk outside, allowing the brothers for their little reunion, and runs into Kuran (the guy that Yuki "likes"). They question each other about their reasons being in the school and both answer in equally cryptic terms. Kuran embraces her from behind and while murmuring her name, sticks his hand through her chest.

"Maybe you and I are the same. For that one person..."

And the "one person" panel is a picture of Yuki.

In chapter 18, as Zero attacked Shizuka and Yuki asked him what the outcome would be, Shizuka smirked and said, "We'll die together."

I'm not sure if that means if the "master" died, then the "child vampires" would automatically...die or whatever. If that is the case, Kuran killed Shizuka knowing that Zero would die for it.

I'm doubting that Zero would die (this soon) though, so let's consider the other scenario. Shizuka claimed the only thing to save Zero from falling into "E level" was to let him drink her blood. Now that she's dead, he can't drink her blood. If the requirement was he had to drink her blood - then, again, Kuran killed Shizuka knowing it would destroy Zero.

Of course, we haven't considered the possibility that she might not die from a simple hand through the heart ala Tokyo Babylon style, but then it makes one question why Kuran would bother....

And next month it's a special...so we don't know the answer to this cliffhanger until two months later!! T-T

I'm going to be quick about this. It's a Hani-senpai chapter. There's an occult club started up by Nekozawa and the weird cursing people. A girl member falls for Hani-senpai and expresses her love by writing curses and creating voodoo dolls, and in the process probably shortened Tamaki's lifespan about 20 years. Hani-senpai manages to talk her out of it and they get along happily ever after. Har.

The Host Club furoku (freebie) was a pink comb with Usagi-chan (Hani's bunny) on the handle and a tiny tiny mirror that had a character on the back. I got Haruhi. I'm not sure if they are all Haruhi or if there are other ones.

After getting the awards, Ryou et co goes out to celebrate and have a run-in with a rival company, who brought out Ayaori's (the other guy who lives with them) little sister as a trump card. Ayaori fainted from fatigue and probably trauma ~~; When he came back he was touched to find Ryou and Yukari really worried about him. Later, Yukari checks up some background on the rival company and notices a name that was on the honours roll for the awards. Checking up background info on the woman, she found that the woman had fallen into a coma since a car accident. The driver of the car died immediately, and the driver had the same last name as Ayaori. Checking up old photos of the woman, she discovered that the woman was the very same that she saw when she was very young, with the beautiful seven-coloured wings.

...Whew, now that's done.
