procrastinating again

Because my "creative vibes" are protesting against the fact I have 3 major assessments in the next two days...

About Vivant...

He's come a long way from the first Vivant I wrote about.

That Vivant was aloof, antagonistic and exceedingly confident...not unlike Sigmund, one might think, but Vivant was never a character who had that sort of vulnerable innocence.

Because of that, I think he's always been tragic, possibly even more tragic than Sigmund, because he is better - at hiding his vulnerabilities. Because he knows how to manipulate people's perceptions, he appears more controlled, more unassailable; because he interacts with others, because he can act friendly, it becomes even easier to overlook the loneliness behind the sociable facade.

He's kept that part of himself, I think. The aloofness and distance. There's an aseptic feel to his pleasantness, the ability to be kind without actually allowing others to come into his world.

He is clever - by far probably the cleverest of my main male characters (haha), and probably cleverer in certain ways than he envisions himself to be. The emotional barriers were established early as a child, without him even being conscious of their existence. They protect and imprison. The walls were sealed, and nothing may enter or leave.

And so Arianna.

I don't think I did a good enough job in the first few chapters where he did interact with her, but she is special. She is The One...or rather, the only one, of anything. What sort of love is it? I don't think it matters. He had his lifeless books and lifeless knowledge, and he had her, and then, at that time, in that content childhood, life was complete.

At the moment, I don't know how things will go on the emotional side of things. I believe that Ruelli and...er, whatever I decide to name Pendillius' character, can open him up...or at least, weaken the walls. And I think the main reason this is possible is because they accept his feelings for Arianna. They allow him to love her without ever losing trust in his capabilities and dedication to his title.

...Right now, I don't plan...or I don't want Vivant to be in a romance. Not because I would rather not write it, but because I don't want Vivant to replace Arianna with anyone, because she will always "have been" everything for him.

...And finally, if I were ever to describe Vivant, I think the unforgettable thing is his smile. Behind the intelligent gaze rested languidly on the distant is unfading laughter and natural, untamed confidence.

LOL.

Not meant to ostracise.

I just don't think I should put anyone else through the torture of half-witted crap written in the throes of procrastination about stuff you would not have heard of, anyway.

Yes, the comma goes before the anyway.

I NEVER READ PEOPLE'S CUT TEXT, HAHA.

I'd really like to be able to read your writings some day, though. Your story sounds quite interesting. And I love how you write so thoughtfully.

Oh dear, had to dig through days of email to find this notice >_>;

No no, I really am a perpetual-in-editing person ~~;;; My friend has gone through about 10 different versions of the same chapters already.
